Ice walled
KAYTUDOR Apr 2020
I stood there and bared my heart once and all
You responded by raising the emotional  wall
Treat me like an acquaintance
Cold stare, ice me out.
I walk away because I don’t want to shout.
I feel so rejected and broken with guilt
Hurt that you’re hurting, my worlds on a tilt
Heartbroken for all we’ve had to go through
Oh, to be a wife deserving of you!
A knot in my gut. A ball in my throat
Cool and calm, almost a gloat.
Your eyes glaze over, my man has gone
Don’t know who’s left, just somebody, someone.

Your love is not love
KAYTUDOR Apr 2020
Your love is not love, it’s purely control
Insidious suffocation of my fragile soul
Already broken, you sought me out
Embraced my ‘crazy’ then fuelled my self doubt

Your love is not love, it serves to convince
That I should wear a smile when inside I wince
Your jokes are so cutting and ‘close to the bone’
Using humour to disguise your belittling tone

Your love is not love, it’s ignoring my plea
To to answer the questions important to me
Instead you dismiss, ignore and discard
You destroyed a girl that was already scarred

Your love is not love, it was casting a spell
To take me to heaven then drag me to hell
It’s pitch black, i no longer know who I am
But I see who YOU are, no more frightened wee lamb

Your love is not love, but my love is pure
It withstood the storm and returned to shore
My love has cradled our babies to sleep
For the pain I’ve caused you, I no longer weep.
