One too many
I fear I might catch the bug.
No, I love life too much!
So did they!
They love the good things in life
They didn't get it
They tried and tried and then some
Nothing seem to work.
They get disappointed
Too often for their hearts
Dreamy and hopeful to take
They did all of these silently,
Maybe not.
You and I, we didn't care enough to look!
But even if we did, could we stop it?
A heart broken from hard knocks?
