Fly
When lightning patters through the clouds,
and the wind starts to sprint.
When the trees who once stood proud
Slowly begin to tilt.

When the sky is howling,
and the rain starts shooting.
When the earth is groaning and growling.

Will you brave the weather?
Or give in to fright?
Remember, most birds take shelter,
But some take flight.

The trees shed leaves.
They sail away,
So that beauty and blossom
Might grow one day.

In letting fall the dry and dreary,
By surrendering to the wind,
In the absence of the weary
Does the bloom begin.

The trees shed leaves,
And so do I.
