I am the measure of your day and its demeanour,
also with you everywhere, silently proud.
I am but a whisper sometimes, of a corner to some,
though to you, If needed,  aloud.

I am not of unlimited resource,
for I always spin plates, as much as most.
I am by design, something you not resign,
As is the boldness of my post.

We are many everywhere, we are countless,
and known to meet of strength, though also prone.
To be met by many silent things, all within this world,
that we must sometimes all of us,  undertake alone.

For alas we may not be everywhere at once dear friends,
though draw strength from such kin, for we are of legions,
I am influence, and so are you, all around this globe,
We are all one,  and inherent in all regions.

We are conscience.

Of youth mine eyes would not bear the sun,
this ball of gold, my friend, my light,
It warmed my bones, empowered my play,
whispered fear not of the night.

We ran together and rested spent,
shared smile and skies embrace,
first friend each day, awoke to greet,
bid play, as warm my face.

Our time of golden was our friend,
for we forget to soon our smile,
lest forget we shall our friendship past,
of years through slight and guile.

As man grown, mine eyes now bear the sun,
for they are older, and shall see more,
I remember friend our summers past,
and love each day, as taught before.

My brain is in a jar, I sense my bodies image through the glass,
I am still, the odd bubble tickles my brow, within this vessel clear,
I am just, well , I am, I am here before me now at least,
my brain is in a jar, I cannot speak, let alone me hear.

To have hands and feet I would escape this jar,
clamber from my prison clear, drag myself from liquids blur,
and not slap to floor “marooned” like a jellyfish void of mass,
beyond this glass what horrors hidden shall occur.

There is no point asking of him, for he is a fool,
I would not trust those cradled hands to make me free,
why trust to fool who placed me here, of diminished responsibility,
and have audacity to retain my eyes, though never see.

My brain is in a jar, I merely feel my outer space,
he reflects upon ourselfs, and how best protect us both from harm,
I know he is leaning forward now, nose upon glass so curious,
I hold motionless and mute, a silent veil of calm.

   Maybe he will leave with me today, visiting time is soon over,
I have exhausted all ways to reassure, I did not wish to offend,
I merely wished be used in ways, that could benefit our days,
yet he is in fear of change, and no longer feels me friend.

I do not require to write a poem about my lunch,
I do not require a lesson on my world and what its doing,
I do not require downloads of information, based on  hunch!

I do not require offers of things with my mail,
I do not require a lecture on whats required,
I do not require your money given, just to take it back,
I do not require our systems, that should all be long since retired!  

I do not require a group hug or high five,
I do not require opinion becoming lie,
I do not require your sale or your bargains,
I do not require your insurance, because we die!

I do not require your requirements,
I do not require your requirements to acquire,
I do not require to be amused, with what you think I should,
I do not require to be entertained within a mental mire!

I do not require your wars being ours,
I do not require you to point but never go,
I do not require you needing me in order to point,
I do not require your bull, the answers no!

I do not require you to say for my own good,
I do not require that decision being yours,
I do not require your ppi neither require your pen,
I do not require you sensationalizing flaws!

I do not require to live on mars,
I do not require such money spent for me,

I do not require current affairs same as usual,
I do not require term reality, to title anything on a TV,

I do not require sweets I like, to have to change their name,
I do not require a world ruined by guidance of those in charge,

I do not require that neutral face that is dour on the news,
I do not require, oh no! whats happened now?
I do not require the ice caps melting and killing everyone,
I do not require vengeance with the exploding of a cow!

I do not require overly decorated jeans with fake ware,
I do not require a beard that's just like yours,
I do not require politicians who bicker instead of doing their job,
I do not require the embracing of my flaws!

I do not require drones, we've enough already living,
I do not require an electric car or cycling path,
I do not require sharing my life through data,
I do not require people who fall over, and never laugh!

I do not require  global democracy by force or coercion,
I do not require to know what you had for tea,
I do not require my phone to bug me and not know,
I do not require somebody “watching me” if I watch TV!

I do not require advice, unless your life is perfect,
I do not require a flatter squarer tube,
I do not require the God particle without permission,
I do not require intelligence as prostate check, without extra ****!

I do not require flies and mosquito on this planet,
I do not require fluoride in my water,
I do not require to be a subject,
I do not require overpriced billing demand, every quarter,  

I do not require to see it in my time like everyone before,

I do not require pavements to dictate my freedom to movement,
I do not require leaders, as just another sock puppet ***!

I do not require poverty as OK or normal,

I used to copy from him, he was in my class,
I think he knew and always did,
Though he would not hide his work, not as such,
from the unteachable and ignorant kid.

He was patient with questions, to a point,
less our answers be exact,
whether history science or even math’s,
short of fingers to add or subtract.

But we did not hang together, merely nod,
our relationship was professional, a colleague of a fool,
some are meant for more and understand how to learn,
within vague concepts such as school.

I used to copy from him, but not today,
for this environment is solely mine,
he would be just ahead all the way, or just behind,
as we quietly walked to the dole to sign.

They walk through the shaded  tunnel,  
   with an echoing snare of studs.  
   Media sponsors adorning their shirts,    
     the ball bounces with pendulous thuds.    

    Then into the sunlight with a silent roar!    
A ticker-tape snowstorm of shame,
for the children watching, with their programs and scarf’s,
life can never be the same.

A dysfunctional society fills the stands,
and wait for the ref with a coin to spin,
doesn’t matter which end , or even which side kicks off?
There has never been a registered win.

The darkness of the womb, all begin and end perhaps?        
         Within this loving tomb.        

         Do the dying choose to go to the light?        
        Or does creation through contractions insist?        
         In death do we fear the blow?        
         That gives our cheeks the glow,          
        in the presence of a surgical mist.        

          Do contractions mirror an ebbing heart?      
        Its pace a beginning, yet its pace another’s end?    
        Do we fear what we don’t know?      
        Because were not allowed to know,      
        where life and death, light and dark,      
        all choose to blend.
