A Daydream of Hope
Save1 Oct 2018
The thought of you binds me
to this reality.
As I trace you throughout my day.
A scented flower,
A dented scene- remind me.
Day and night cemented
In a dream

Daylight borrows that I imagine
what is real, to  what are dreams?
Whilst the traces of you scream!
What do they seek to steal?
This hollowness only confuses
The sorrow  my soul so kindly blesses
Yet only the emptiness is real.

Time to drink down this darkness
Swallow this sickly swill.
Pretend I no longer see you
While I hope I always will.
Knowing (without me) you are empty
Looking for your fill.
Do thoughts of me bind  you?

Why aren’t we dancing
Save1 Oct 2018
Why aren’t we dancing?
I see how you smile at me.
Shouldn’t we be busy romancing?
I know you fancy we.
Shall I keep me guessing?
When I feel what you’re sending me.

Jovial eyes
Do they tell me lies?
Have they seen
What I hide - do they see me?
Why am I dancing?
I have seen how you smile.

How long have I been waiting
For this longing to be waken??
To draw such bliss from a
Kiss that may never be?
And as of yet I cannot see
we two dancing as in my dreams.

Writing words that are mistaken,
Dreaming dreams of steps not taken
Hearing music I have forsaken
Are you the Muse
That amuses my dream?
Adjure these dreams into reality.

No, Hope Won't Grow Here
Save1 Nov 2019
The atrocities that seeded my most youngest days,
A splice of soul & society - A boy maize.
Bitter crimes, made even more sour by time,
May they sweeten the fruit and not soften the rind.

A rear-view of my yesterdays
grew a darken vine
A truth,  darkness yields no harvest
This opaqueness is all mine.

I've heard no lies,
As I sat in this pickled brine.
that will make me mourn or cry
As I stand tall before the farmers scythe!

For as always, I stand alone.
And justice demands
A payment for the hands,
That reaped what they didn't sow
