• In charge of everything
• Leader
• Role model
All of these things are what I
Have
to
be
One thing I can’t be though
Is stress free

Got asked what I did all summer
I said nothing new
They said there must be something
And I said nope same old story
Going to the hospital every morning
To the point where it got kind of boring
I’m just glad you got to walk out and continue your story

as I lay here at night I think about you
think of all the things I’ve seen you go through
pain and suffering piercing through that smile
the smile that can light up a room
when asked what’s my biggest fear
I say losing you

12:00 am, tick tock 12:15 am, tick tock 12:30am
the clock never seems to stop
as I lay awake in my bed
every fear I’ve ever had comes flooding back
12:45am tick tock 1:00am
midnight seems to be over
but the midnight thoughts seem to linger around
almost as if they don’t want to be forgotten

Seeming like the world is coming
Down
No one to talk to who gets it
Hospital, home then back again
A never-ending cycle in which I am trapped
But I wouldn’t have it any other way

seems like a cry for help
trust me that’s not true
seems to me you disagree
maybe I should too
