They showered upon us
Pure warmth and love
Through their beautiful string
Of words,
And empathy,
In those wintry hours
Of pain and break;
their gentle calm smiles
Proved to be a soothing
Summer delight,

But , oh, how little were we,
To not see the pain
they kept hidden
beneath their gentle smiles;
How little were we to not see
Those angels ,
their benevolence,
theirs ,who healed us,
And always would.

Strange plays the universe has,
And I am to role those,
Some steps of ours
So synchronized, that
It embarks a great awe;
Some in my fantasy;

With instincts saying yes,
But this skeptical mind
Has a thousand reasons
To doubt, to no.

Maybe, yes maybe,
You know you were the one
To instill these words
With a sequence
Of spaces and commas
In me,
And I wish so,
Not because I want you to repay
But to the least
Show the way to let go if
You weren't meant to be.
