The Poor Over the Rich
Verlena Dillard Jun 2018
There are some born with good fortune,
they have so many doing there bidding,
yet there hands are too clean,
they taught themselves so little.

Can't do the easiest things,
but still feel high and mighty,
seeing those to get by in life,
some are blind by there own unclear ambitions.

There are some born in the bottom,
covering there hands with dirt and scars,
but worked to get what they need.

Some say they're glad to come from the bottom,
because we faced cruelty,
we know how to use scrapes,
we know the world,
we can come up top starting
from the bottom.

Two Faced
Verlena Dillard Jun 2018
You are someone who is hard to know,
you first seem generous, but start to get an attitude.
sometimes you listen to me, but don't listen,
you start to be nice, but come out rude.

You are really confusing sometimes,
I don't know how you gonna react,
you start off as smooth, but then come out hard,
you start as simple, but ended up being difficult,
just who am I really talking to.

I feel like I'm talking to two people,
two different sides of the same coin.
Your too unpredictable,
everything about you has been separated.
your mentally masked,

History of The Unforgotten
Verlena Dillard Jun 2018
People do die,
but they still will remain with us.
The pain of our own blood lines remains with us,
as well as the artifacts reveals where we came from.

There accomplishments of every name been known,
the good and bad that can repeat in our generations.
We wrote the memories of the ones that was humiliated, captured and punished,
we wrote the memories of those who fought for the rights we have today,
along with the written memories of the ones that became our most hated enemies.

we have history of people that gave us freedom,
people that suffered for just being different in humanity,
people in wars that gave us peace an glory,
we write for the ones that are no longer here.
The history of slaves,
the history of the evil,
the history of technology,
the history of heroes,
for the names of humans,
that there beliefs and fate made them well known.

The Haunted
Verlena Dillard Jun 2018
Sometimes I concern myself in the dark,
always feeling like someone's behind me.
That chill in the air while I walk,
every foot step I take; I hear another one.

In a house that over a hundred years old,
with history left on its walls,
you know the stories inside,
and wondering if your really safe inside.

The old scars now is effecting you,
but don't know if something touched you.
the creation of confusion,
the emotions you can't explained,
you would wonder in the dark,
while you sleep alone,
you wonder right now if there's someone
in your room,
waiting to be expose from the other side,
and they might never leave you alone.

My Enemy is Jealousy
Verlena Dillard Jun 2018
You are a spirit being
feeding on people's desires.
making the wicked stronger,
and spreading it like fire.

You are a person
that wants what the other has,
you want to take it all by force
while being consume by hate,
you would leave that person in despair
while you wear the dark colors on your face.

You are a killer
that would torture the other in an instant
you just watch while they breakdown,
while you sit there an feel superior at last,
but in the end you became my greatest enemy
who owns the dark side of unpredictable minds
in a thousand faces.
This is a poem mainly how the jealousy in people can ruin other people lives.

The Abuse From The Fool
Verlena Dillard Jun 2018
Do it have to take violence for me to stay with you?
or is violence all you know?
Do you see me as a puppet?
just play with the strings whenever you like?
or your just scared of being alone.

Did you forget you feel pain like me?
did you forget you have feelings like me?
do you really think I'm so inferior to you?
or do you denied the truth?
beneath those evil ways;
your weak at heart an feel inferior to the world.

Your just a fool,
with meaningless morals,
your so pathetic,
your making yourself suffer.
Continue playing god,
continue having that smirk on your face,
live the life of regrets,
that won't show you no mercy.
