Heavenly Eyes
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Those heavy-lidded heavenly eyes
That are staring at the starring stars;

The ones ushering me into my inner lost
Trying to melt down my pride into frost.

Earth would have no longer been an earth
The moment your eyes had been given birth.

I without your  newly born heavenly eyes
Like a fallen leaf, have no reason to rise!

Democracy
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Democracy is to let people experience
Ignoring heavenly hellish consequence?!

Democracy is to change short-sighted policy;
Tied hands can never swim in a free sea.

Democracy is to let people be human;
You prefer to forgive them or to ban?!

Democracy is an unwanted soft demand
Which can raise a red rose in hard sand.

                           Democracy is to lend us air to breathe;                                                                                                                                    In a hell you expect the air to freeze?!

Democracy is to cease the wild fire
The moment you need a gun to hire.

Democracy is on me, to you, for us
The paucity of which is a huge loss!

Think to thank
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Thinking about thanking a teacher
Defines no time and place matrix
As long as oxygen makes us breathe;
inhale the aroma of fresh ethics.

Either a private or a general at war,
We are trained on the terrain of train
Of vicissitudes within which teachers reside
To insulate its sky against imbecility rain.

Attraction deadline
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
These NIGHTS I’m thinking about attraction deadlines
Which are tickling brains the whole DAY several times.

These days I’m concerned about the deadline
After which there may be no contracts to sign.

There may be no one to follow, to date
There may be no one to love, to hate!

The moments we take off the veils
To free our pure selves from jails.

These DAYS I’m thinking about the wild loneliness
Which is cutting souls the whole NIGHT into pieces.

Earthquake
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
You woke up and made many sleep.
Who woke you up, made us weep?!

You hit the town and ran away.
Unfair? What do you have to say?!

No doubt you are looking at the little orphans
Shivering with cold, staring at parents’ coffins!

You made us cry, we will have you smile
At people who help one another for a while!

Lies
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
A lie manifests itself in clever disguise;
Words are simply samples we realize!

It could also be risen from someone’s heart;
Taking a long time to read the person’s thought.

Lies would even majestically live in honest faces;
Turning people into encrypted two-faced cases!

I wonder whether or not we are armored
Against the armed troops were rumored!

The sky in pain
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
When the sky is in a burning pain,
It can’t help crying; bursts into rain.

It roars of rage in the gloomy dark,
And starts growling like a stray dog.

No one can hear such a piercing roar
Except for the ones been in love before.

Everyone knows the sky feels alone;
That’s why begins to rain of its own.

Although it is rain, they are floods of tears
For those who are far away from their dears!

Like a leaf of life
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Life is an annual festival of golden years
Passing cacophonously though no one hears!

Year is a shadow of shiny sharp shear
Plucking heart-shaped leaves without care!

A year to a life resembles a leaf to a tree.
Years go, leaves fall; are life and tree free?!

Years fell lives, leaves dramatically fall
From the tree of lifelong that is not tall!

It is high time to count and pluck dry leaves;
A live leaf of life will not live without leaves!

Look how young burgeoning leaves are sprouting,
How trees are pruning, how years are passing!

Years prune leaves of lives with a sharp shear;
Men celebrate this, say: “Happy new Year!”

Hey...! Look at me! a person... just like you

Who born worn buried white and naked!
Whose body equals his mind following his heart in line with the tongue
Which are altogether still white and naked as it snows!

So, I'm a naked man nothing covers my body but my skin!
On the same skin I'm Thinking, Saying, Judging, Granting though naked!
The scent of honesty is brimful within me! White born worn, white worn buried!

NOW! Summon your conscience! Reply please!...

Why and how are you killing your corpse beseeching to paint it black,
Black and white, grey, yellow, and even a reddish red?! while

Your color is incarcerated within the layers of bluish greenish white soul?!
Taken, try not to compel and condemn it to another color! since

You are a person... just like you

Possible of Impossibility
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Imagine the sky were red
and the sun in which disappeared.

Imagine the ground were blue
and birds in which always flew.

Imagine the day were night
and the moon in which with light.

Imagine the night were day
and stars in which without ray.

Imagine the deserts and seas alike
and flashes of lightning in which strike.

Imagine the cities and forests the same
and animals in which with notorious fame.

Imagination may come true;
Is it the D-day?! I have got no clue.

But, imagine that I can now feel all words,
and I can see the reverse orders of two worlds.

Foe
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Foe
Foe is no one but yourself
Which has got stuck in itself.

Foe is nothing but your soul
Which is drowned in its foul.

Foe does not exist as you are awake,
Just like the sea which is the mirage of a lake.

Foe is the evil in your deeds
Which you always water its seeds.

Foe is your hands, feet, or mouths
Which are permanently breaking their oaths.

Do not forget!
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Do not forget to watch
The ceiling of the world, the sky
To release a bird hunters catch.

Do not forget to look
At the pond of the world, the sea
To save a drowning man in brook.

Do not forget to walk
On the floor of the world, the ground
To find a lonely man to talk.

Never forget the sky, the sea, the ground
In order to help the missed keys to be found.

Be Tolerant!
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
O’ my soul! Be tolerant, be patient
To soar, and lest not to be bent
Under the pride of what you have lent.

O’ my body! be tolerant, be strong
To pass the world; the path is so long.

O’ my feet! be tolerant, be consistent
To pass by the mansions to reach a tent
To live a long life without paying the rent.

O’ my heart! be tolerant, be soft
To be able to clean the mirrors of dust.

O’ my hands! be tolerant, be generous
To donate your possessions although precious
To a person has fallen to poverty from riches.

O’ my eyes! be tolerant, be kind
To give light to a person who is blind.

O’ my ears! be tolerant, be acute
To hear the sounds of peoples' feet
Walking behind, no matter how remote.

How pleasant if we are free of lust,
How cultivated is the soul after a frost!

You are I
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
You are ,You, I am ,I,
No-one is ,You, No-one is ,I,
But  this time, I am , You, You are ,I.
Believe me, I am not telling a lie.
Believe me and do not ask me why
For, I am shy to tell you, ‘You ‘are ‘I’.

Oppressed Breadwinner
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Have you seen an old father crying,
And even his wife doesn't sympathize with him?
Have you heard of an old father flying,
And even ants look down on him?
Have you ever thought about an old father
Who has worked untiringly day and night
For his children although they bother,
And always say something to have a fight?
O' You! Remember! he is still alive,
And the only breadwinner of day and night.
It's a pity! you know they are blind,
And they never look for a bit of sight?

Repressed Deeds
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
How ignorant we are born!
Unaware of threatening things
Which are growing on our own.

Ask me what they are
To tell you of nonchalance
And of our peace at war.

This is our old story of  life,
Needless to say, ludicrous matters
Have been expressed with a big lie.

Let's have a funeral for our souls,
For our body, our deeds, our hearts,
And those good ones playing no roles.

O' good deeds! shame on us!
You are fighting for our life,
But we are still at a loss!

I am a cloud
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
O' people this is a cloud
Who is talking to the proud.

When I'm gloomy and dark
Flash of lightning ready to strike.

Now it's time for me to cry;
Cry, cry, cry till go dry.

I'm raining for those are not worth
With my tears they water from south to north

Of their insight full of lords,
Pride and jealousy are two cords

Not to let them release themselves
From dark prisons and dreadful cells;

So, I made up my mind not to cry
No more grow the cords; let them die.
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
Again you have fallen for someone else.

‘Love’ has come to you in a different face.

Again you see a new one and lose your faith.

It won’t be the first, not the last of such a case.

Love at first sight
Rod Solouki Jun 2018
When I want to miss her, she is not.
When I want to kiss her, she is out.

When I want to see her, there is no light.
When I want to be with her, it is night.

When she is beside me, I'm in fight.
When she is around me, I’m not right.

They were all my own fault; that's right.
It was nothing but a love at first sight!

— The End —
