With poetry in our eyes
If you and I could look up
To the moon and the skies

Urge
Rain Nov 2018
In an unfathomable corner
of my heart
I see her.
Sitting with her folded hands
resting on her knees
Lowering her head
with helplessness
Held back emotions
flowing through her eyes
Her quivering lips
revealing the unsaid
Letting go.

A girl
so familiar
As if my other half,
the obscure one
Or an image to my urge.

I know but I don't
Rain Nov 2019
I am
Simple, yet complex
Expected, yet unexpected
Warm, yet cold
Organized, yet mess
Bright, yet dark
I know that I know
What's inside my head,
But I don't.
I don't know how many of you can relate to this but just wanted to let you know that it's not easy for me...

A Secret...
Rain Feb 2018
It's a secret,
That lies within everyone
But is known by none

It's a secret,
Masked by everyone
But is faced by none

It's a secret,
Unique for everyone
But is recognized by none

It's your innerself,
Faked by everyone
But is displayed by none

Can rain be sad?
Rain Jul 2019
Why not?
Rain is gloomy when,
It watches that one grey Umbrella
Walking down the street
All alone
His transient feet
Sinking into it's core
With each step
It comes closer,
To accompany him,
To make his tears Disappear
Somewhere in it's droplets
Alas!
All it's capable of doing,
Is drenching him even more
Drowning him
Into it's waters
Deeper, deeper and deeper...
Oh what a misery!
Of the fulfilled unfulfillment.

Fade in the mountains
Flow with the mist
Feel the bliss
Lie down on the green
Light up with the sunset
Look up to the moon
Yearn to heal with rain
Yield happy tears

It's fascinating how words can turn deep, intricate stuff into everybody's cup of tea and at the same time, beautifully elaborate a weary person's monotonous life into a philosopher's philosophy.

Tiny needles
of raindrops
Pierce through
my withered palm
Mending open wounds
These chirps
wing their way
Swaying young leaves
With spilling wind,
Caressing my ashen face
Descending down
illusory tear strains
The heart
that once,
was silenced
with bareness
Now syncs with
Thunderclaps...

I'll be in my happy place
Call me crazy all you want
Cuz I know
That y'all have been waiting
For your days
Mere few days,
That'll let you breathe
That'll let you **** in life
And this wait will lead to nothing
...but an incomplete.
You'll feel itchy from inside
Like you did just now
Instead of dying with a void,
I'll be outta the frame
I'll be fulfilled
Unlike you.
So fit in all you want
Cuz this frame of normality
Can't take the weight
It will break off one day
And with it, you will too.

Drifting apart
Rain Apr 2018
Do you even realize?
I am drifting apart from you...

Is it just me,
Or now, you too fear solitude
in MY presence?
Am I not your 'Dear Diary' anymore?

Is this pain worth it,
Or is it just a misunderstanding engulfing us?
Are your doubtful eyes not good enough in hindering my ways?

I know,
I know you don't want this to happen
And to tell you my dear,
neither do I
But, if your answers to my questions
were YES...
Then,
I would rather prefer a world
where understanding is not just
another word

And so, I am drifting apart from you...

Come to me
With a story to tell
Your story.
You'll recite all night,
I'll be all ears
Together, we will heal
Just speak yourself
And let me in
Or look me in the eye
For I'll read on my own
I'll be there,
Listening to your story
Till the sun comes up again,
Till your nights become mine,
And my sunrise becomes yours
I'll be right beside you
Forever, if it takes...

Rain Jun 2019
Can't let go
Of this serene beauty
I hear the wind whisper
In my ears
It carries a message
A message,
Of the night sky
calling for me
The stars twinkle,
passing a signal
My heart syncs
with the Intense harmony
sung by the cricket
Nature summons my soul
As if its incomplete
without me...
And I sit
staring deep into the void,
Spellbound.

Rain Nov 2019
Take me with you
Away from this hassle
Break these chains
Of "normality"
Let my soul roam freely
In those vast mountains
I've been caged for too long
Let me discover what's inside
Free me from my burdens
For I need to run wild
I need to feel what I feel
I need you to feel it too
So let's rescue ourselves
By wandering without aim
Someplace far away

Every morning I wake in that dream
When the stars take over,

Rain Jun 2019
Behind those bright eyes,
Rests a brimming ocean of dejection
I wish you'd let it flow sometimes

With every breath of yours,
Rages a storm pushing it's limits
I wish you'd set it free sometimes

In between those coated words,
Escapes a dry shriek seeking rain
I wish you'd let me hear sometimes

"You are no different from me, little girl" replied moon.

The wonders of a lost time
Rain May 2023
I hear them stories
Of how the days went by
For the elderly
Who once lived a life
I witness everything in black and white
As their eyes speak the truth
Filled with love and light
In front of me
Are the trees they climbed
And the stars they counted
On a quiet friday's night
Oh how I wish I could hear the rhyme
Of the birds and the wind
That once ruled the skies
So I drown in the memories
Of an age never known
As I grieve at the loss of
The wonders of a lost time
I worry that their stories might disappear with them.

To make you feel better.
A poem, or maybe a song
To end your day with
With the perfect dose
Of warmth and Melody,
If only I could sow a seed
To nurture it
with a ray of hope
For it's sweet scent
Would bring back
The smile of your face
If only.
Too good to be true I guess...

Rain May 2020
Everything blurres
As I scribble my way
Through the pages
The visions blur, the voices blur,
All that stays
Is the mark of these ovals I engraved
Darker, darker everytime.
Tearing everything outta their way
Caring no more.
Just like these boxes around 'em
Suffocating the air inside.
No space left.
Choaking, as I go on
Both freeing themselves,
Like never before
Despite the blackned chaos
My blurred eyes see it all,
A graceful release,
letting go...
