Hurried stupid moments
Dripping from my tongue
Loose careless vowels
Judgemental consonants plows
Fuelled by bitter anger
Soaked in absent disdain
Little mindless moments
Catch you in its chain
Tenticles wrapping you
in its Toxic choke
As each breathe you take
Becomes even harder to do
Words collide into you
Slamming your life away
Whittles you to pieces
Purged in sins you pay
Soak me in your healing
Rid me of my pain
Find it in you to forgive me
And release me
From my destructive chain

My haunted dream
dionysus Oct 2017
Haunted dream
You used to be the joy of my joy
The heart of my heart
The dream of my dream
But words are much like a poison
It trickles and pours into tiny crevices of a beaten soul
If only I didn't have a haunted dream about you
It wouldn't bother me this much
Instead it trickled and pours into tiny crevices of a beaten soul
Reminded me of the person I want you to be
Versus the person you actually are
Jealous; vindictive; you ride on an all-consuming high
Let me remind you what my haunted dream whispered in my ear: "Lean closer" she said
Pulling me near
Her mouth by my ear
She trickled her words like a soft dangerous lullaby:
"Sorry to say it but
He's not what he seems my dear"

What would I see
dionysus Aug 2017
If I had a glimpse into your soul
What would I see?
A maze of little secrets
Each tucked away under a blanket of denial and lies
Would I see a window of light
Each having a ray of light illuminating you
Thus making you shine from within
Would I see a blanket of darkness
That ruminates your being with each look and word
That spews with judgement and disdain
Would I see the full fruits of a Diviner
Serenity glowing from within
Would I see you for you
Would you let me see every facet of your brokenness and hurts
The darkest parts and every ream of light  known and unknown to us both
If your soul is the deepest part of who you are
Then this is all I show interest in
Not your face
Your legs
Your arms
Your nose
Or anything visible to the eye
My eyes only dwell on what is not visible to us both
It is within you
It is this that concerns me the most
