How cruel life can be
Sue Murray Aug 2017
To love and build a trust beyond compare
To walk away and say you just don't care
To void all communication and cease the love
To someone who gave all they could
To not give a second thought to those left behind because thats been that's done there's no rewind .

Thoughts of a wretched soul
Sue Murray Aug 2017
In the deep crevasse of loneliness there is utter darkness
A nothingness never experienced before
Pained deeply I try and think happy thoughts but non avail themselves to me.
I remember the losses and feel no warmth
No arm around my shoulders
No gentle voice to reassure
There is a silent void
No arm offered to pull me out
No rope to hoist me back to hope
No voice to let me no I am not alone
I need to try and reach the surface it is such a long way
How to find the strength seems all too much for me
Find the inner self or die
Find the love for life and thrive
Find hope not failure
I'll try

Lost
Sue Murray Aug 2017
One day upon a summers eve I saw time fly passed me in a breath not giving a second glance
I saw the waste, the sadness and selfishness of mankind surging through my personal space and soul.
I was engulfed by the greed and lust of all who desire at the cost of all others.
Violated by abuse and need I lost my sweet desire and felt fear, anger and frustration realising solitude could be my only pathway.
Sadness and self defence working in harmony to sustain life but not as it could have been desired. Isolation and support to a child the sole personal goal.

Life Experience
Sue Murray Aug 2017
Like a fallen oak I bare my branches
My roots unearthed dangling and Strewn by the winds of time.
The rings of different ages all too apparent  and the tree sap draining into where the oak stood proud.
Sticky weeds and ivy begin their attempt to engulf and ultimately use this unexpected host. How giving the oak has been, expectant of nothing other than the ecosystem which has given life and support.
No more help now it's needed life force drains day by day.
