Circle
Peter Kiggin Dec 2017
Circle

Birds circle around high in the sky waiting for to feed
The noises are familiar the children scream of greed
The beach is long and baron like the town turning just to thieve
I don't quite know what happened maybe the laughter caught the breeze
Go down to the pleasure beach and you must pay to enter as people with sad faces leave
A world full of anger and no ride is going to help you or make you feel pleased

Drink

Drink this wine together from the vine
Transcend our time
We're drunk and feel sublime
Absent are bad memories only good ones shine
Childish rhyme but truth I find
This was a crime asleep when I should design
Soon he'll be blind
No roadside signs
Only my teeth to grind

What the hell are you supposed to do
When bombs go off and there are children dead who were brand new
The man in the gutter all he needs is some warmth and a little bit of food
Are people so harsh to be blind
Is this reality or just a state of mind
A leader can't lead what they don,t understand
It,s **** or be ****** in our fair land
Is this something that we never ever planned
All this time is just a grain of sand.

Complicated simplicity

Complicated simplicity

The leaves have been here all summer,
Now it's time to go
Bare Trees look so simple
The branches are like veins so far to grow
The dark brown of the early evening Trees,
Looks adventurous like the birds that seem to hang around an old man's crown
Beneath lies moss and mushrooms
Dead trees all twisted around to look like your staring through stained windows
The ground is muddy and leaves footprints
Where to go to now
It's easily done to get into a different world
To leave is never so easy.

Secrets

Words said but not quite yet
Time-bound minds to never forget
That is why we try so hard and always regret
The things not done and the things that are not let
I look back now and wished I'd died instead I'm always upset
For people who never took that extra step
There is a God and he watches then showers us with mortal debt
The memories are a puzzle that your mind unravels accept, accept.

Cry little boy for soon this will make you humane
I did not know what I'd done wrong but later it was clear in pain
The song in my head was playing over again and again and again
My soul so sad I felt forgotten just standing drowning in the rain
Emptiness is an empty vessel that I'd drunk just to ease the shame
I feel inside like a forest of fire when it spreads with just one flame
You were my only baby and I to you are just another name

Watching You

Someone is watching you in the dark
A lamplight flickers a bright blue spark
Trees become thieves that want to take you and make their mark
Pathways become noisy and every bit of gravel you step on is an alarm bell for the dogs that bark
What you once sought is seeking you
In your mind your worried too
Helpless and ridiculous eyes look new
The older you get the closer it reaches for loneliness the ghoul

To see with eyes of such clarity of hue
To wake each morning to see a different colour because you looked closer than you usually do
To understand why strawberries are so red and they taste much sweeter too
To dedicate one life to observing why people live in such light and darkness within a mind that has every colour on a palette  to hand like a magician with swords daring their intellect to those not knew
To show what was missing in the picture by pronouncing it's very existence because it's part of you.

Moving slowly as frequency attaches it's self to it only
Dunes cover vast lands moulding shapeshifting like this snake lonely
No one is your friend and friends are misguided to their own ends coldly
A road going one way and another exactly the same choices are given and taken away this the wise man told me
A hawk I've been following hopefully will lead me to a garden with white buildings carved from stone and windows of stained glass colour the interior like a fatherless child only with light to guide then you can truly see
Sit in contemplation in the centre of this building and things will be as they surely should boldly solely

You hated me and I hated me too
I'm sorry I made you cry not knowing the right thing to do

Rivington

Yesterday I was smashing televisions up
Liverpool was winning the league cup
We went to Rivington on our bikes so's not to have to read our books
We'd lie in the hills amongst the buttercups and listen to the babbling brook
A plastic water bottle was all we took and on our way back home we'd race down the biggest hillside past the sheep and nodding ducks
Today I still have a bike but it sits in the shed under lock and key and I and my cousins never seem to see each other unless there's someone in the family getting married or are dead but we'll always have well life *****.

In a dream
Peter Kiggin Nov 2017
All dreams have no conclusion
Is this why we live in this confusion
Find clues but no real solid solution
Like a chemist that makes an impossible potion
Most of us with little comprehension
Like the Lion that fights the snake is it better to be agile or full of power and precision
Weapons of the ****** form are interesting because they risk their lives with most decisions
Humans and animals can talk their way out of a physical confrontation
The spider makes a web to which other insects fall prey to them
We eat the rest because if they do not hold any defense against us but we gain sustenance then killing humanely is the far less evil conundrum.

The Eagle and the heavens

If you fly like an Eagle you may reach the heavens
You walk and see the mysterious life we have lived along the way
The Eagle says you must take every step carefully
Once again you will meet in a dream then you will find long is the road and the Eagle has shown you the way
You may reach the heavens but you wish to stay just for another day.

Silver saucer shaped spaceship dreams.

magnificent silver space suit please;
as I journey to a cosmic galaxy full of extraordinary things,

floating endlessly in a kaleidascopic machine;
the void of space is insignificant when light beams,

a field of planets to watch as the spaceship glides into an atmosphere fit for human beings;
a glimpse of a world so magical like being born again but is it a dream,

I see oceans of colours of that I have never ever seen;
pink gargantuan dolphins jumping ten feet out of a purple wavy sea,

a land of such diversity and fruit on every single tree;
green jelly tasty and strawberry creams,

animals who speak english and say good morning and thankyou and beg your pardon if you please;
all different shapes and sizes and colours it seems,

I find opals and diamonds and ruby's in magnificent tall orange and yellow rock faces as high as the eye can see;
but I have no one to share all this with and I remember and wake from my dream,

eight fifteen in the morning and the alarm that satan made rings and rings and rings;
next time I go back there I will take a girl and we can go skinny dipping with the gargantuan pink dolphins and after we can talk politics to the bright blue owl that sits in the green jelly trees.

No one Knows

NO ONE KNOWS.

no one knows

as darkness descends my sorrow shows

a broken heart forever froze

a sadness that never goes

an emptiness where love once glowed

a deep awareness of lost souls

a desert endless with no tomorrows

a shadow where a man once followed

a condescending word or look swallowed

as society does not care or share nor borrows

a few words inside my mind that always wallows

as light ascends there is no sorrow

as darkness only reminds me of the past and why in light beauty of colour always and forever knows.

I see your reflection in my mind.

I see your reflection in my mind as the sun disappears
Pink sky turns into blood that runs my wrists cut tears
Take me now before my mind turns and thinks of you my dear
The pain washes my mind and now I'm thinking clear
My soul turned black and my heart is weakened by a fear
I hit the needle and flew away to a place I can stay concealed
I beg no return only that the pain has gone in my mind the wheel
I was a prisoner behind thick ancient walls and a window closed with steel
I see her dancing like the devil around a graveyard and even the boy came to deal
I run I run...................I run I run..................the deal was already done
I layed upon a bed of waves that rocked me to sleep for a hundred years it feels
Morning came and I smell fresh air and the snow had left a sign on my window sills
A hospital patient I'd become because I saw things and heard things that I shouldn't think was real
The children know because the parents lie to speak of broken promises and how to teach them not to feel
Never promise what can't be done and never bargain with the devil because your mind will forever think of evil.

The rain came and washed my sins away
I saw dew on the grass the very next day
I knew my time had come to go as I could not stay
A sign that changes occur for reasons beyond comprehension they say
Leave behind what has been for it will only cause you pain to remember all of yesterday's
Truth will out it says in the good book and forever every day the true meaning predicts what has come today
Why must we judge when judgement is on you and all who hear these words as we should all pray for the coming of saints and angels to save us from being slaves.

The evil monsters in my head

Gradually the sun starts to rise and it's not nearly so dark
The worst and the best things seem to remind us that fragile is the heart
Most people are still in their sleep dreaming of years when it was always playtime from the beginning of the day till the sun sets over the trees then blue skies depart
Oh how I wish that children didn't have to grow up and learn that dreams are just that and sometimes your world falls apart
What I wouldn't give my love for that kiss that lit the spark.

Throw away your hopes you need only her require
I watch you shower and I want to devour
Still running around her getting higher and higher
She has no heart only does she acquire
Strange affliction of the disturbed once beautiful flower.

A thousand steel blades thrashing slashing meat from bone in a bargaining life for pain that's real

I was scared of you and all the things you do but my god agreed
Maybe you'll change one day and ride the endless dark blue seas

Milky Milky

The milk boy started along long time ago
When milk was delivered early to your door
Before anyone had got up for work or for some just as they hit the floor

It used to work on a small scale just rumours of tampering and would be blamed on the birds pecking to get the milks creamy end
Old people started dropping off one by one till ignorance couldn't mend
The city was a big place especially at night when shadows were around every corner under the moonlight then he would inject the milk with a substance untraceable a toxic blend
The people were always old the type of old man or woman that roamed the streets with nothing to do but wait until their clock went off in the morning and make that cup of tea which was always thought to be a milky friend.

for the little bird heard everything that was said;

return to yourself and judge not of what you have read.

The dormouse agreed and returned to his shed

with which the two pigeons consented and nodded their heads

and the snails on the grass speedily adjourned to cling to a wall or under a ledge.

The spiders could only digest what was caught on the web and the ants were too busy to listen but caught a little from the morning mews instead.

The dog had caught the cat and the cat he was dead.
