Ella Jul 2017
In the midst of
Summer's heat,
ripen amber fields
that gave.
Before the dew
thistles bend
royal color shew.
Farmer's delight
to know
all heads must go.
Until dusk to dawn
thorns remain.
Toil chaff disdain
to Fall.
Tis the beauty of
it all.
