I think of a life once lived

Fondly

But disdain still burns - though-

Softly

I see the embers of what was

Aglow in the shadow of the present

While The future hides among the dancing flames

"What shall become of me now?"

Wait and see

Wait and see

Who are you but the one who just was?

Without inklings of doubt drizzled

Gently on the confidence of ones ego

You can't rage as hard against the light

But try and try and try

Until one day, you might

GIVE UP

What does she mean to me?

I'm not sure I really know.
A rebound? Not really.
A girlfriend? That's silly.
But within my mind this grows.

She walks around without a care
I can't determine what's really there
If I'm the one who makes her happy
Or if it's just my body bare

It's a game I don't like playing
The only one of its kind
Despite whatever it is I'm saying
I cannot get her off my mind

"Nothing serious here, its just good fun"
Is what we will both echo
I'm not sure for her but I for one
Am not scared of where this goes

It's a fleeting freakish feeling
A dropping down deep inside ones stomach
A smile stretches slyly from nose to ear
You wonder why we are where we went
You can't completely come to comprehend it
But why would you?
Understanding is the antithesis of excitement
Let it play out until the reason reveals itself
Fate does not forgive force
It strongly steers satisfaction further away
Stay smiling without any reason
This is the ripe soil from which a new life grows
