Sea
Mountains were always dear to me
Until I came to know
The sea is what I long for

As it chains two dimensions
Of solid landscapes
Into one marked coastline.

Our contradictions killed a story
Which was about to be written
To be great
By two known strangers

But we chose to fight
Our individual crusades
And we lost the battle
Till we beheld
Our angels reducing to ashes
Together.

I weaved the words always
To bring life to them
Without knowing
I will be the one
Finding life
To the words woven by you.
Madhura Jun 2017
There’s no great story
Left to be read
Between the lines

I am already living a life
From the pages
That you burned for me.

I see the Sun revamping into the moon
At the twilight horizon
Following the law and order
To end what has started
The earth is about to complete a full circle
Leaving us with a full moon tonight
To keep our fears safe
Behind its pale moonlight

The ray of hope is lost again
I am about to burst with the morning gleam
With doldrums of yesterday
And pipe dreams of tomorrow
The chilly breeze passing through
Shore sands enter the backyard
Making the chandelier swing again

That’s when the ocean waves bring
The oyster pearls at the shore
The universe restores the lost faith
Back in those steady hearts
And I make a promise
To see the full moon in its glory
Again when you are gone.
