a rose and a dandelion– both grew
in the garden of eden,
and basked under the same golden light.
the only difference between the two
is that they call the rose
a flower, and the other a ****.

and maybe that’s why
they ***** their fingers just to put you
in a vase by the window, while i am in
a vase that does not see light.
there is no water, no earth,
