Our End
Kate Jan 2019
If this is to be our end
go knowing that I loved you
and that I would have followed you
to the end of this earth
If this is to be our end
go knowing that I don't blame you
but then, it's always my fault,
isn't it?
If this is to be our end
go knowing that you saw the best
and the worst of me
If this is to be our end
go knowing that I will be here
waiting like a fool
for a chance of what was
for a chance at what I thought
would be our forever
This is directed more at myself than anyone else, at the split personalities that I have developed and the personality that it's time to give up

Who Am I?
Kate Jan 2019
Time creeps by
I am unchanged
And a total stranger
Loving life
And hating life
My own best friend
And my own worst enemy
This feels like something I want to develop more but every time I try to expand on it I ramble awkwardly so here it is

The Woman I Love
Kate Dec 2018
The woman I love
Has stars in her eyes
And laughter in her soul
But she's got a sadness
Buried deep inside her
The woman I love
Says she's sick of society
And wants to run away
From the people that judge, dismiss, and betray her
But still cares
What people think of her
The woman I love
Is perfectly imperfect
And full of contradictions
But I wouldn't have her
Any other way

I Wonder What It's Like
Kate Dec 2018
You walked in the door today
and I saw stars in your eyes
I wonder what it's like,
to be a dreamer like you
To always believe
that this world is great
and to love the life you live
I wonder what it's like,
to see good in people
and not all of the bad
I wonder what it's like
to be happy like you
