Days like this ill look in the mirror to see if I'm alive
Days gone by I manage to survive
The words of a contemptuous society
Watch them cause erosion to our souls
Making other people mad today can be someone's goal?
In a world where we breed victims and encourage making others feel less inside
Have you looked in the mirror to see if you're alive?
Time scars all with the wounds they were said to heal
Sure the marks not visible, but the pain is ever so real
Staring at the hands that mend my fate
Circadian rythum thrown off is it too early or too late?
Half or a quater of my past an electrical impulse away
Memories faded by time but the pain is here to stay
The smell of your clothes, a nostalgic aroma
Time heals all wounds as these scars get older
Only in my dreams could I dream of a reality
A reality where this actually could be a you and me
But all the others they stare and laugh at me you see
I fall head over mole hills too easily
They say you're not worth it, but you are to me
Everyone deserves to be with someone, or is it only dreams
A dream to be dreaming in an alternate reality
It's my poison plain as day
Toxic eyes, mind corrosive with thoughts
X-ray vision, still so much unseen
A lead wall called emotion bypass radiation
A sirens voice angelic deception
Lead me to peril I've been there before
In search for my Golden Fleece
Jason and the Argonauts comfort me
A ship sailed aimless as the quest
For the hand that feeds has taken its toll
Still waters boil my blood
Waves in my veins to feel
This endless adventure
My life's ordeal
Who is the real you?
trying to figure that out now huh?
Little late on that one
I still sit here, it has only been an hour
The very earth itself heavy after the slightest shower
Your words ****** out of me all the love and power
This silent garden shows to me only a dead flower.
Wilted away my worries and sorrows
In hopes for a brighter tomorrow
So until the quiet comes and washes me away
I'll count the minutes until the light of day.
The moon sings to me the sweetest lullaby
About fairy tale endings and a sky full of lighters
Meanwhile, you leave without a goodbye
Making my world a shade less brighter.
An eclipse to my love to block out my heart
Ignite my fire, the arson in my veins
Compassion so smokey where does is end or where does it start
Dormant the flames until we meet again
