My Poison Ivy
Thomas Garcia Jan 2014
A soft breeze of your summer breath hits my knees and I fall on to your feet.
The bright light of your eyes blinds my path as try to climb the hills of your soft skin.
I slide on the curves of your broken smile.
I feel the razor sharp of your fingers run through my head.
I taste the bitter sweet love of your lips on mine.
My heart pumps the venom of your poison love through my body.
I've become addicted to the pain you've given me.
My brain melts as the smell of your breath invades every pore of me till it kills me.
You're my lovely poison ivy.

It Was Our Dance
Thomas Garcia Jan 2014
I kept your pictures, hoping that you'd come back on day.
And I'm wishing that all this is not in vain.
Days and days have passed, and I'm waiting to dance one last time.

Oh where have you been
I can't wait for you no longer
My heart in pain remains
I can't wait for you no longer.
Won't you come back and feed my hunger.

I see how now you two dance by.
I hope he's the man I couldn't be,
Dozen of roses died within time.
For all that has happened, you can blame me
Well I wasn't the man that I should've been.

Broken Memories.
Thomas Garcia Jan 2014
Seconds to minutes, and minutes to hours.
As we talk our words become nothing but laughter.
Days become months and our love becomes hate, and I realize it's to late.
Just like promises are broken before they're made.
Like I said, it's too late.

You want honesty and I want loyalty.
But you've found him, and I've found myself drowning with my own tears.
Nothing is left but the memories we had.
I lie to my self and pretend I don't care, but then I find myself lacking air.

The memories remain, and one by one I try to forget but it is the only thing I have left.
What was once happiness is now bitterness.
But I thank you and those memories for showing me the hardest things in life are yet to come.
No, I'm not done.
I will move on.
