Like they once had
Lasso the moon
As they believed they could
Kiss - suchlike lovers
And upon every night, rest in his shoulder
when it was every bit as sweet

how I can feel without being touched.

unheard, misunderstood.

Longs to be known.

Taste of eternity
thePaigebook Nov 2012
Hiding from the sick, the loud. Ugly world.
Never ending night. Turn on the porch light.
Little illumination. My only admiration.
Lock myself in. Wont come out.
A comfort home I am without.
For heaven's sake. Destination: new creation. Wait for me.

A fair, peaceful, cheerful, wonderful real world.
It's what I need. To escape from this poverty.
The bitter taste. Filthy waste.
The chronic venom fills me to the brim.
I hide my eyes from the foolish disguise.
Scream on my knees.
Moonlight barely seen.
Holding to this desperate plea.
Please hear me.

With my head and heart in His hand He said so pleasantly,
"My sweet. My lovely"

For the first time I could feel.
In a secret place. I can heal.
An everlasting dream.
Curled underneath a cherry tree.
Ribbons tied around so elegantly
Sunlight. White. Bright.
Rainbow view, shines through morning dew.
Velvet earth. Something gentle.
Take a breath. The brilliant sights. The soft sounds.
Clean, warm air. All that's rare.
Flood my veins.
Complete. Surreal.

Give me eternity.

thePaigebook Nov 2012
A child wishes.
The trees; they sway
with a subtle swish

To be amazed.
Torn apart,
thorn from thistle,
and sifted through the wind.

The East feels her gaze
and He sweeps the clouds aside.
The skies are set ablaze.

From Pablo with love
thePaigebook Nov 2012
Love Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda
I do not love you as if you were a salt rose, or topaz
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
So I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

Sleeping where your heart lay
The last night you survived
The ghostly image entombing my mind
Closing my eyes
Did you know what it did to me?
Time passes, adding distance between us
I now walk in an unfamiliar place
I miss seeing your wrinkled face
The smile, plastered there by me
Your scent remains no longer
but the empty air weighs stronger
Standing where you left me behind
I looked into that room you lay
I stood, wept, and relived that night.

I flourish,
I fade
Let me live in your home,
perfectly I stay poised
Let me live in my home,
unrestrained
I grow freely
I lure you in with my stately scent
Be heedful as I may harm your hands
Hold me considerately and carry me with you
The beloved of the bride
The chivalrous choice for the lover
Remember me when I am gone
You will see me again

Mama
thePaigebook Nov 2012
Her hair winds down like branches on a tree.
Possesses the eyes of a doe, for they are kind.
Her skin glistens like rain in sunlight.
She wears garments like moss that spreads over nature.
Her movement is like the wind. Smooth a swift.
Travels like a cat chasing prey through terrain.
But her soul is far brighter.
She owns the spirit of an Eagle. She is strong.
Has the heart of a swan. Protecting her own.
Holds to what is good and curses the bad of intention.
With curiosity that beholds old and new.
Even in youth she practices wisdom.
Patience that transcends understanding.
Grace that bewilders the merciful.
Faith like ivy. Clinging, climbing and unshakable.

To do without.
thePaigebook Nov 2012
He sat, sipping his soup, silently.
She sat, squandering her sentiments.
To do with love is one thing,
but to do with like is another.
But with all of her will and with all of her wit,
she spoke, sweetly and softly.
He left, but as a friend.
Later, to become a stranger.

he held my hips and i watched his eyes
lips on lips
bodies pursed upright, we breathed

sounds and lights
hectic in my head
the fog claimed me

what came next, i'll never know
but the feelings
first, warm and sweet
turned soon to cold and bleak

this is all happiness is
this is all love is

i floated next to him
then he let me go
i drifted away
for no one to ever know

but this is all i know

I see something
that makes want more,
but I placed my heart in a drawer.
I feel steady
until the ground shifts,
leaving me edgy.
I'm trying to forget the old
and borrow the new.
Everything seems familiar
with you.
Car rides and kisses
and you raise my spirit
even though
my heart was left on the floor

Start with a root
twist it in a manner that will suit.
Test my foundation
build it up strong.
Stretch my limbs
make them long.
Shower me in light.
Now hear
I finally breathe.
As the wind tickles
listen to me sing.

A&O
I am day and night
With you through dark and light
Unchanging. Unnmovable
There is none like me
However no rarity
For I am everywhere
Can't see me, can't touch me
Yet I'm closer to you than anything has ever been
But you keep me at distance
As you sleep I stay
As you wake I stay
I speak and it is
I think and it is done
You take, I give
Even as a flower dries in the sun
You can fade like the cloud covered moon
I give life and I take life
As easily as it is, it was
Blink once
And I can seen a million lifetimes
I bless and curse
I sow, I reap
I am peace and rath
I am known and imfamous
I am loud and soft
I am your safety and your fear
I am past and future
I am begining and end
I am alive, but I was not born.

Her Story
thePaigebook Nov 2012
You said Trust me
I said Okay
And I did
I let you manipulate
All I knew
Was all you told me
And I was happy
Being lied to
But then I broke out
Of the box you placed me in
And I realized that there was more to life
Than cardboard and tape
I never knew
Because you said Trust me
You said the sky wasn't real
But then I flew
Here's the truth, the whole truth
Don't even ask if I left something out
This is my side of the story, my truth
I'll be hurt if you've a brain enough to doubt
Because this is the truth as I see it
And as I see it is the only way to see
So don't question, don't pursue answers
Close your mouth and mind and just believe
