Shes a diamond in the the rough and although times are tough she still strut her stuff.
Thinking to herself like
Enough is enough
I was delt a bad hand from the jump
What did I do to live in this dump
Poverty stricken
But she have faith
Faith that God will take her out such a place.
Police brutality but there's nothing she can do but accept her reality
Her cries for help is silenced
She see her kings killing each other
She want to yell out "hey man that's your brother".
Stop the violence.
You want my people to become extinct
We are being killed fast as you blink
Lies being told on the media what
are we suppose to think.
So oppressed by the opresser
Most of my people smoke and drink
Keeping our vision clouded from the truth.
Bringing ignorance to our youth.
This pain on my spirit hurts like
A bad tooth.
Nobody want to hear it until it happens to them.
Now you want to start a riot cause you birthed him..
Black woman you are the mother of the earth
When one brother die all mothers should hurt
Or at least be concerned
Cause it's another black man
Who probably never learned.
Never picked up a book, how do you think that look.
Having knowledge is power
Praying to God that I don't wax sour,
I will never hate my brother or my enemies
Cause I know that's the trick of my oppresser.
Knowing what I know.
He's a king and I'm a queen
Nothing lesser.
