Lonesome Constellations
Tara M Jun 2012
Tell me, where is my place?
I know it’s not here.
Where worries, doubts and insecurities do nothing but tie me down.
My place is in these lonesome constellations, deep in the universe so dear.
It’s like they call my name,
Saying: “Please, come join us.”
And the thing is; I want to.
I’ll do anything to get to my place,
There, in those lonesome constellations.

Dreams
Tara M Jun 2012
Standing on the edge,
A body of clear, deep blue all around.
From here, I can smell the salt off the breeze
It seemed to beckon me; seducing me to be one.
I step one foot in front of another, and it’s like I’m flying,
I can feel myself crashing into the water, until..
My eyes open to the blinding light of dawn rising.
It was another figment of my imagination, gone until the moon rose again.
This isn't one of my better ones. Hopefully it's good, though.

Dawn
Tara M Feb 2012
I love that time of day, where the sky ignites to blue, where night and morning meet each other; and the sun shies behind the clouds. But it’s not when you wake up to the sun shining beautifully across your face, it’s when you stay up all night just waiting for the sun, not sleeping in case you miss it. Those moments, are beautiful.

I wish I was
Good enough
To set ablaze
The passion
In your heart.

The Definition of Forever
Tara M Nov 2012
When someone says,
"I'll love you forever."
It might not mean,
"I'll be with you until I die."
But instead, it could be:
"If something happens, and we both part ways,
There will always be a place in my heart,
All for you."
And maybe
That is the definition of forever.

My Letters to You
Tara M Dec 2012
I'll leave all these words in letters I have written you,
Wondering if you'll ever read them
And know that everything in those letters
Were all the things I've longed to tell you
But never figured out how.

Like how your eyes sometimes look like the ocean,
And other times like the winter sky.
Or how your hips stick out,
So you don't ever need a belt to keep your pants up.

You'll never know how much I long to show you,
All the love that I could manage.
But then I realize that you would drown in it
And I would never be able to hold you again.

So I'll keep all of that love in the letters I write,
Hoping that you'll read them at midnight,
And know that those are the words
I have wanted to say,
But never have.
