Every single night, death comes and sits by my side
Every  time I  shut my  eyes,  by his rules do I abide
He taught me the intricate balance of questioning and acceptance
He also showed me the innate frailty of structure and permanence
I understood the difference between wisdom and knowledge
Also why  one  must, without dismissing, eat  one's porridge
That a bat can carry numerous diseases without  getting  ill
That seasons can bring change in the colours of a bird's bill
That questioning oneself requires immense strength  of will

He taught me when to swallow my pride
Whom to  trust, and  in  whom to confide
That one must take great caution while vowing vengeance
What's done is done, and can never be undone by penance
Things I never would've learned  had  I  stayed  on  in  college
He showed me that it's but a myth, the idea we call "flawless"
That  bending  the  limits  of  one's  mind  can too be  a  thrill
That  it's  tougher to  bring  life  than  it  is  to  make  the  ****
How ever hard you may try, life's essence you  cannot  distill

soul to shake.
earth to quake.
you and me.
forever are we
in stars to follow
and paths to wander
for this is us
you and me
together as we

Down the road of the land of the baked beans,

we find this fruit wing of an Amazonian tree.

In autumn, when she turns dry and brown,

she unfastens from her mother tree and plunges down,

dwindling she begins to whirl in pain,

screaming in fear and agony but one cant hear any sound.

The winds are here to fortify that this suffering remain,

she twists, she turns, she whirls and shes headed for the ground.

With one last breath she takes one last spin,

and lands unbroken as she had always been.

Before she catches enough air to realize what a fall she had endured,

a curious soul picks her up and tosses her into the air and her misery is ensured.

Again she twists , she turns , she whirls yet unbroken she lands.

Away from family, unspoken, confused in different sands.

She endures a hundred such journeys from here.

In the brevity of its flight, here is the beauty of her plight.

Despite the solitude ,she maintains her fortitude.

She carries without letting it out that in her she carries another soul.

A seed.

A seed that will give rise to forest.

With their canopy, the trees in the forests will not only live for themselves,

they will provide for, protect and shelter many more.

tiny beings, super beings, all beings.

Her fall was only a rise, upside down.
I'm not afraid to fly,
Except when I have wings;
And then, you see,
Is when I'll be
A fearful, flighty thing.
You don't seem to understand,
That everyone gets upset.
Yet I feel,
I need to comfort you,
Like you're mine.

I understand things are tough,
But they could be worse.
You could be
Falling
For some idiot,
Who lives miles away
And won't come see you.

You could be
Waiting up for them,
Thinking,
About them falling for other people,
Mascara running.

You could be
Afraid to ask
If they would be yours.
Because you don't want to ruin what little you have with them.
And hurting.
Every day.

I need cheering up.

You don't seem to understand,
That I get upset.
And I feel,
You need to comfort me,
Like you're mine.
Lips as red as blood
Of a brilliant rosebud
Hair as black as night
Unafraid of any fright
Skin as white as snow
From a kingdom long ago

As moment became memory
Of ancient wars of glory
And as days became years
Of long forgotten tears
I've kept close in my heart
An image that cannot be apart
Of your timeless beauty

I've felt it was my duty to find you
From a forgotten place no one knew
I've searched from places to place
Until it became a pointless chase
Then I saw in that forests of apples
Stood a lonely ruined castle

I searched the empty halls of your castle
From rounded stairs and broken chairs
Until I reached the top of the highest tower
I saw nothing but a single golden mirror
And then it suddenly became clearer

I stood in front of this ancient projector
As the glass melted and formed a specter
It spoke in a deep and evil voice
"What do you want to know oh seeker?"
I felt my body and spirit become weaker
As I stood there longer and longer
"Mirror, mirror on the wall
Where's the princess who'll make me fall?"
