#summerrain
Summer rain unlike the rain that
arrives at monsoon,
is welcomed with smiles that affect
even her mood.
The soil holds incense that produces
her favorite fragrance.
The thunder announcing her arrival,
she wears lightning with pride on her face.
Humans dance in her mere presence.
The sun hides itself away with each step
she takes.
But even such a powerful being has no will
of her own.
Clouds turn black to white,
she traces her path back— humbled.
A promise she made, cutting her own hand.
As it dropped on the land, bursting into colours.
Till I come back— she said.
Disappearing like she never existed in the first place.
Only the huge broken, colourful bracelet remained to speak of her existence.

This rain makes my heart ponder
I, once again, fall in love
with rain--as it drops
and the sounds of her whispers
splashing everywhere
it makes me less alone
falling apart
tear
by
tear
pouring all over my skin.
drenched
yet warm in its all sheer presence
Rain--recognise my presence, after all!
What a joy, this--nature find me
in a mid of June
While nights are long and drunk
without a shadow
of any existence..
I, once again, fall in love
with nature--it's absolute completeness
it makes me feel i am not alone
anymore..
not the only one shattered
scattered everywhere
with all its shattered pieces
of pride and hope.
Rain makes me feel good
holding my hands
carrying
my weight
whispering softly
like a mystery
to never stop believing.

The summer rains
Bring nothing to me
but a content
melancholy.
I sit and gaze
Upon them, unfazed
and wonder what to think.

soft long wisps of light honey brown hair
caught in the wind, dance on the clouds
her soft closed lips, velvet-like sounds
the rain caught in summer air
and her legs sway to-and-fro
and her mind soars with the birds
and fence she sits on purrs
as the fuzzy melody flows
the flowers sway along to the tune
the grass; torn between emeralds and gold
May cries to her lovely sister June
the pond shakes when her foot brushes its mold
everything is whispering in tune
and though everything is new, it all feels old

the petrichor
penetrating the heart's core
from the earth crust
When quenched, it's thirst
blended in the gust
of the summer breeze
yes! it's summer rain!
the petrichor,
wish I could devour
intangible
invisible
inaccessible
yet i savour!
the petrichor,
released by the nature joyfully
when the rain heals
the burns, soothingly!
the petrichor,
intoxicating
exhilarating
reviving
embracing me, like you???

Your love
Sparse summer rain
Pouring warm
Cold
Drip drop
On my umbrella
Plop in mud
Splashing
The leaves
The blooms
Vividly colored
