inner so empty my
out so empty side
fear on seventh
repetitive
all loving
countdown clock face
all grace and strength
flowed into your heart
inner so colourful
like a praying mantis by its look
a peacock inside

I. SFEM
The giddy peacock, proud and pale,
Pawns his priceless, preened plumage
At the market of fox
He has sapped off fear
Of egg-drop syndrome
And coccidiosis
Of aspergillosis
And the plundering hawks
That hover from the west
Eleven peacock feathers
Now exchange for a crow's
Indeed the phoenix
Has found his peers
In the market of death.
— And the feather learns the weight of flight too late. —
II. REQUIEM
The well wrought scale of Rectitude
Smelted in the furnace of impulsiveness
Sword of Aurora
Recast into swagger sticks
Archetypal voice of Orunmila
Choked with treasures from mammon
The teacher corrects a child's script with a shaking hand,
His salary a rumour, his pension a myth—
While the octopus builds another house on the hill.
Hydra-headed Octopus
Decorated with sceptre of Obatala
— And the feather learns the weight of flight too late. —
Rectitude himself
Murdered at the high altar of solipsism
Situational ethics
Adorned in the toga of currency
Behold!
Yesterday's Barabas
Crowned as today's Kirisiti

control the elements until i find
the piece of treasure i hide inside
peacock feathers and words divine
heal the divide that i am feeling rise
chop the wings of the butterfly
grounded but bruised
harbouring wounds
the way i feel is what i decide
so i decide to carry it differently
the cycle is not inherently stifling
so i decide to wait for it to come to me
you attract more flies with sweeter honey

Tere liye pyaar ne pankh lagaye
Mera dil chahe panchhi ban ud jaaye
Tere liye mor ne pankh bikhraye
Saawan ki aas mein kitne rang dikhaye
Teri baaton ka sur hawaaon mein ghul jaaye
Saans se saans tak chhupi baatein chalti jaayein
Chaandni raaton mein tera khwaabon ka jahan
Tere ishq mein, har pal ek naya armaan hai
Tere liye yeh pyaar pankh lagaye
Door ambar mein panchhi ban ud jaaye
Tera ishq rahe sadaa be-andaaz
Har lamha agla pal sun-hare sajaaye
Teri aankhon mein hai ek saahil ka aalam
Har lehar mein chhupa ek naya manzar hai
Jab baarish thehri, ta-roon kamal khil jaaye
Doodh chandni mein rang bikhar jaaye
Jugnu phir se tere ehsas mein jhil-milaye
Aur mera pyaar phir pankh lagaye
Tere liye yeh pyaar pankh lagaye
Door ambar mein panchhi ban ud jaaye
Tera ishq rahe sadaa be-andaaz
Har lamha agla pal sun-hare sajaaye
Meri fitrat mein tu sadaa basa rahe......

For you, love has found its wings,
My heart longs to fly, a bird that sings.
For you, the peacock spreads its wings wide,
In the hope of rain, colors come alive.
Your voice melts into the breeze,
Whispers wander with such ease.
In moonlit skies, your dreamlands gleam,
In every breath, a brand new dream.
For you, this love takes flight on high,
A bird that soars in the endless sky.
May this love forever blaze and roam,
Each moment a dream in golden bloom.
In your eyes, a shoreline calls,
Each wave reveals new miracles.
Songs of silence softly play,
With you, each moment’s a rare ballet.
Let not the rain ***** fireflies' glow,
Let peacocks dance through winds that blow.
May you never forget my trembling heart,
Or leave my dreams to fall apart.
When the rains come to rest, pond-lotuses gleam,
Colors blossom in moon’s soft beam
Fireflies flicker in your tender grace,
And love again finds its winged embrace.
For you, this love takes flight on high,
A bird that soars in the endless sky.
May this love forever blaze and roam,
Each moment a dream in golden bloom.
In the fabric of my soul, you will stay,
A breath of my being, come what may...

Peacock with your feathers so bright,
So blue and beautiful, so full of might,
You stand up tall, proud and bold,
You have so many adventures yet to be told.
Peahen you’re so shy and demure,
Something about you feels unsure,
You don’t know what you want just yet,
You will find out soon, there’s no need to fret.

Once there was a jungle
Every creature great & small
Was given special gifts there
God, he gave them ALL.
He gave monkeys humor
He gave gazelles grace
But the peacock was quite special
He gave HIM the fairest face!
Now, as with all great blessings
This one had a curse
The peacock... quite spectacular!
But he had an ugly VOICE!
Peacock screeched displeasure!
He spread his tail... and then...
He saw his greatest curse of all
His VERY plain PEAHEN!!

She came floating in
Her presence felt by all those around.
She tosses her hair and teases her fans.
This past love of a love of mine.
Dances from place to place
On the affection of her loves,
Never looking back
Not believing in mistakes.
Feathers of turquoise and emerald
She holds her head high,
For she is a great peacock
The past love of a love of mine.
I am but the swan in the lake.
A body of white, a beak of gold
Some say graceful, other say gauche
Though I have found my Neuschwanstein.
Everything I am is for him
So now I am sure
She will only ever be
A past love of a love of mine.

This
?
I woke with these words
Upon my lips...
Ask you
What does it Mean?
When will we Stop being
Slaves to our feathers

Strutting about
Poised
Primped and preened
With feathers neatly arranged
My little brother
In his new choir clothes

There is a fundamental difference
between the peacock and the butterfly
Both are beautiful
Both are deserving
But when it comes down to it
One struts proudly
while the other...
quietly flutters away

Her eyes were cold,
Her lips were pale,
Her heart was frozen,
Her smile was broken,
Her soul was empty,
Her face was spotted with regrets and pain,
Her mind was possessed by some unknown powers,
Her emotions were burried when she was a young girl,
She was a peacock in a cage,
Beautiful but locked.
She had no words and no voice
For silence ruled her.
Her memory was her enemy
For it left her alone everytime.
Her fears? They were uncountable, infinty.
Her thoughts? They would haunt her.
Her dreams? They failed.
Her people? They ditched.
She was a dead flower,
No color, no fragrance,
Only thorns attached
And petals crushed.
That was her identity.

As dark clouds thunder on a grey day,
Resounding across the arid plains,
I hear the loud cries of a bird,
It cuts across the rhythmic drumming of the clouds,
He's quiet for a moment, then I hear him again.
Through the trees I see him,
Royal, an electrifying metallic blue,
A peacock, stunning, strutting,
Fanning his train of feathers,
Eyespots of majesty, stroked with mossy hues.
He dances in a flamboyant display,
In spot light, as lightening flames the sky above,
Nonchalant, a blue crested head turns with pride,
His ornate train, shimmering, beckoning, to and fro,
His moves, a courtship ritual of love.
His iridescent trail woos in style,
A life of its own in its opaline shades
Golden, blue, brown and green,
Colors of the earth, gloriously resplendent,
A gathered spectacle in his plumage.
As drops of rain touch the earth,
He is still high on the wings of romance,
His feet in motion,
His feathers spread for his mate,
Quivering, glimmering a love dance.

Like a southern song singing on a dream scene.
a smooth fairy dance facing the Moon
a thrill of exposing Stonehenge once and for all
a melodious raindrop in the serene pond
a butterfly dance on the rose
a turned on tall tale of the blue peacock
Like a pure belief in heaven without a pinch of salt!

We have a peacock
Grand Azurite the third
Even his name a flame
He fans his blaze of shine
To ladies throughout his realm
Whether cat, dog,
Rooster, mare or hen
Or his sweet dame the same
He only wishes from all
A little bit of aloof admiration
Starts his day with a strut
Goes all day long looking
For a fawning long gaze
Ends every given long day
In mostly similar ways
He and his dame
Blissfully life spent thus far
Patiently eagerly waiting
For a brood of little ones
To teach to fan their flame

She's a peahen,
I kindled the bird,
And me her peacock.
O she loved me crazily,
She stayed here till long,
Until she'd realised it,
That she could fly.

I have dreams that I once was
A free majestic albino peacock,
Jewellery trapped under a rock.
I have dreams that I never was.
I have dreams that I once was
An old tree covered in snow,
Winds that took an eastern blow.
I have dreams that I never was.
I have dreams that I once was
A poor little drowning fish,
A silver ring left to tarnish.
I have dreams that I never was.
I have dreams that I once was
A lot of things and one thing,
But I never was anything.
I have dreams that I once was.

how it descends
parachuting an
expansive heart,
soft whose arrows are...
to get drenched
is our choice, not
the sky's victory
or defeat; bliss...
a bridge betwixt
ether, earth, of a
peacock's throat,
dripping song...

Was with a salacious witch
with amazing quick silver tongue,
Confidence personified
she challenged me to chase her,
If I so wish, not in words.
Her liquid eyes and gestures,
made me mad with pleasure
by the time we reached the peacock hill.
Peacocks, big blue eyes painted on feathers,
each, was in love with her, it seemed.
Danced vying with each other,
to please her, while she winked at me.
As if to say"They'll **** each other
to get my glad eye"wouldn't I feel jealous?
Helpless, I did surrender to her spell,
like others in the line, in my front and back.
When just one touch of her index finger,
would evoke magic, I'll get
Transformed to a young peacock
of exquisite beauty, with blue green plumes
none have ever seen before,to flaunt at
others of the ilk, on seeing it they'd back out.
Such a witch is one of a kind,my mind
whispers, it's she who assures me this,
On the full moon night, due in a week
we'll fly to the far away hill where
She'll be with me helping to build a nest,
turning to a peafowl herself,
She'll lay a dozen eggs,
yes, in to my ear, she says, this is only later,
h
When, she with index finger will
gently touche me and proclaim, thus:
"This is the peacock I enticed and
with my witchcraft ,bound for life"
