Scrapbook Poem #171
Damaged by my damage plan Igniting the burn ban Been soaked in societies poison Snap at every helping hand Don't like me? Well guess what? We agree I'm also not a fan Ideas pulled from a porcelain can Strangers bull excrement, Fills my allotted bed pan The crash is imminent, But where & when will I land? Problems equivalent To the individual grains of beach sand From sea to shining sea and, Across the land No one has ever out run it, Can't understand why I ran BUT I'm sugar cookie bland Therefore I do understand getting caught, 'Cause I am not A gingerbread man ©2024

A couple likes here, and a few comments there. All I want you to know is that I actually care. When I look for your follow, I'm constantly asking "where?" All these newbies, posting some pics, you follow them instantly I swear. Not even four hours on the gram, and you follow her. I'm goin five days now, I ain't no ****** amateur. I tell myself to be patient, but it's getting harder everyday. I swear things are turning gray.

The Last Time
I know your voice, Singing for me, I know your eyes Twinkling through the screen, The way you smile, The dimple in your cheek, All of these things, But I don't know you Your birthday, your name, Your tastes and your face, I know these things But I don't know you And yet May you shine Like the star in the sky, Filling up my heart With the melody of your song, May you sing the song That dwells inside, And I will be here, Listening..listening.. Though your heart may be breaking, Though it pains me to see, You still smile like the sun Through the storms in your seas, Sweat on your temple, Through blood and through tears, You forge through it all, So your song could reach me You give me everything, The me who has nothing But my love to give to you I'll be by your side, Though they be against you, Don't worry you'll see, Everything is alright I wish you happiness I wish you peace I wish you good fortune And all of the bliss You may not know me, Never had and never will, But I hope you will know this, You are a star that shines In the darkest of night, And I will sail with you Through wine-colored waters, Listening to your song I don't know you, You don't know me, But we are connected Through a melody.

Return Song
Everyone floats down In to the sewer Where I await them so I can eat them This life Of an evil (Refrain) Every body floats down Everybody floats down Everyone watch out for the Red balloon As evil will lurk So watch out for the beast (Refrain) Every body floats down Every body floats down

The “it” song
Days at home and I have started hearing things, My furniture and home appliances seem to talk to me. My bed says "Come and lie down, Enjoy tea in me," My pillows say,"Hug us,relax everything is going to be fine. As I entered the kitchen my toaster jumped up to warn me of my wife's mood, Too late, we started arguing and the vacuum told me to **** it up, To make matters worse the washing machine put a different spin on everything. The T.V and my mobile threatened to die if I did not give them rest, Furious I banged the front door, The door **** advised me to get a grip, But the door screamed I was unhinged, At that my fan soothingly said it would soon blow over, At last the curtains ordered me to pull myself together. 4/4/2020

Lockdown
Faithless, I walk through the night Yet by a free will of my own I broke all of my previous ties Yet I don´t walk alone I´m side by side with those I chose With everyone I care for With everyone I´m close For those, I´m fierce to fight for For those I try to change Though maybe they are different Though maybe they are strange But they can be, all I am not And all they value, they hold true So everything I do, I do To keep them safe and sound

So far we have traveled, well missed is your touch, on my flesh. The warmth of your fingertips, lite in touch, brings warmth and such. Igniting my core as the flames roar, my hungry, lust for more.

My Grandma used to be my biggest fan She used to take me to the park, buy me ice cream Push me on the swings till I couldn't see the trees She used to take me to the zoo, point at the animals Buy me cuddly souvenirs of each of them in the gift shop She used to take me to the supermarket Push me in the trolley and buy me a cream cake at the end My Grandma was the one who told me to write stories She used to make me cheesy pasta and we'd read together Stories about dinosaurs and princesses and little girls with coloured hair That was before she grew old Now my Grandma sits in her chair Her skin as thin as paper Withered bones from old age My Grandma doesn't really remember my name anymore Doesn't really know what I look like Can't really hear what I say She's not really interested in my life anymore Only in soaps on telly and other people's lives My Grandma used to be my biggest fan Now she doesn't really know who I am

Vingin suicides
Dusty old and gray Always either spinning or perfectly still It creaks when it spins Like the bones of an elderly woman   One bulb is almost burnt out flickering on and off Wanting the motivation to stay alive but losing it anyway Losing it, Losing it, and now this bulb has run out of light Now encompassed in darkness Two bulbs remain shining so luminously Optimistic like they’ll never burn out unknowing the impending darkness to come that they are unable to pause unable to slow unable to stop I’ve never seen a ceiling fan and it’s bulbs like this before

Ceiling fan
The bridge character is essential to the narrative, it's just not HER narrative. And later, as if because the readers have asked for more, as if something about her caught their imagination, prompting fresh fan questions, she features again and the panels frame more detail, more of her back story, her motivation and perhaps we learn her true name. In a few years time it may be that a reader develops into a writer, or perhaps an editor, and a story is commissioned telling HER history with colour, with space and we see, at last, her scars and at last we see the essential essence of how she came to be. And we identify with HER. But one night when we look back when we read again that first appearance, we realise that there remains some unexplained detail, a few missing pieces of her jigsaw and as we put the final touches to our too tight cosplay, we wait, with hope for her OWN title that just might reveal her full narrative.
