A girl so small, turned into a beautiful woman. A will so weak, turned into a strong desire. And I'll let you believe that your little small girl turned into a fire. The fire ablaze, makes everyone daze and lets them get lost in a maze. That girl is no more feeble. That girl, though, is no more real. But she is here, standing strong. But she is here, proving them all wrong.

That Girl ...
Crowned with glory like the sun In robes of dazzling white He is lifted up; the Holy One Behold, the Ascension of Christ! You have seen and you have heard Bearing witness to the Living Word Live your lives to reflect the change And some people will think you strange What hope to know Jesus goes before us To intercede and prepare a place for us Then sending down His love made manifest His Holy Spirit by creation blessed He empowers us to boldly proclaim And do great things by the power of His name Our hearts too small to keep the love inside And must be shared high, far, deep, and wide As Christ ascends to Heaven above We too are ascended by His love He lives within and we are lifted high And on the wings of hope we fly So shine upon the world so that all may see Your true joy and come to believe Go therefore and preach the good news Be instruments for your God to use

Ascension
My voice is not sick. My heart does not lack charge And my fingers rest beautifully. My wires are impeccably engineered. My brain is alight with knowing And my belly, understanding. Tell me, what does yours say? Does it lie to you? Our voices are not sick Our words are not misguided. We simply know you well, And suffer for it.

How thin the Shroud
the trials she fails scatter her decisions - she harbors quiet chaos in her mind's wake, fathoming a reality unfit for spoken prose, a truth vested in ambitions stretched; striving.

Something happens for you something changes, a part of your power a part of your abilities a part of you when youโ€™re faced with truth, and choice, when moving from known into uncertainty and in the face of this adversity, you lose a part of yourself. The smoke it hangs low, a weight in my lungs like the feeling in my soul the forests burn themselves, and out of destruction, the new growth is born, like us be born again, let my love nourish & caress you scars and all rise to the challenge when fear beckons lay your heavy head and tired mind in my lap and let your tears of sadness, and longing flow in the space between my legs let go. and like that, I will hold you & show you the promises I wonโ€™t break let me reveal my inner corners as you show me yours, and prove to you how tender I will be with your delicate heart resist the temptation & give into me instead make love to me. lay your lips on mine & slip yourself into the space between my hips let me show you true ecstasy, let the arch of my back show you what words canโ€™t let our bated breaths & escaping moans be our solemn vow that fear will never rule here again let your fingers get tangled in my hair as your heart beats against mine, as a reminder of what is ours have courage & fervour to hold on, when fear taunts you to let go, when it smirks because the intensity almost burns, & your soul bleeds and your bones ache & your will is tested in these dark moments, find strength in me because something happens for you something changes, a part of your power a part of your abilities a part of you when youโ€™re faced with truth, and choice, when moving from known into uncertainty, when youโ€™re fearless.

Like a modern day Sleeping Beauty, _Living_ 50 years of her life In a trance like daze, Oblivious to all, Viewing the world through the twisted lens and filter Of a controlling bully. Learning to be her own worst enemy, Flagellating herself like a aesthetic, Living as a timid scurrying mouse Fearing the light of day, To a ridiculously enraged roaring lionness protecting her brood. Awoken from her deep slumber By Prince Charmingโ€™s sweetest gentlest kiss, She rose to fight another day, This time standing in her power, Slaying her enemies, And all who had kept her playing small To further their own ends, Now shining in the glow of her brilliance Saying **** you one and all, I am me, THIS is who I am, I am proud of what Iโ€™ve achieved, Now I sing my own song, Dance to my own tune, Play my own gameโ€, As she galloped off astride her gallant steed Amid a swirl of dust Towards sunsetโ€™s rosy glow

Sleeping Beauty
This is me, I am strong, I am powerful, I am courageous, I make no apology for who I am, For who I am Is forged from pain and suffering, The lessons were hard, The road was long, But led to a stronger, better, more empowered version of me. So if youโ€™re struggling, Feeling weak and abused, Hold strong, Be steadfast, Raise your head up high, Look for Him who supports and inspires you, Know your suffering will be turned into strength And an inspiration to others. For some it takes a while to reach this place, To slay the dragons And stand in our power, But once there, With God on our side, Lo betide anyone who dares to put us down again!

The shattered tree's remains now frame the path from which it came, dampened in the warm, evening rain, guiding the lonesome to self-blame. Desperately, its pleading begins, hopelessly yearning for soul sustenance. It finds solace in expressing its pain, and all those near fear its immense strain. Its earthen skin groans, bearing cracks in its bones, weary cries now silent, yet its strength has overgrown. In its roots, it takes hold to reconcile what itโ€™s forsaking, an effort painful, uncontrolled, as it gives what it can't be retaking. Its eyes are now dulled where they once had a glow, pathetic reflections unfold in the place of its soul. And smoke swirls in the cavity where the flames once warmed, replaced by fiery, stinging swarms, creating turmoil in its depravity. Wounds young and sweltry, the blood flow sustains, no vestige of remedy, enduring the pain. Like a mangled, broken ship at sea into terrorizing waves of atrophy, embracing water, drowning, sinking, it helplessly flounders. Never ceasing, waves increasing breath releasing, mind's eye teasing. Waters rise, anticipating, whispered cries, suffocating, painfully asphyxiating... It lets go, floats towards the coursing, waving, crashing surface, aching for air. Choppy waters, throwing, forcing to and fro, it fiercely presses on and hears the thunder. Lightning cracks through air and sky, the bright light lingers in its eyes, the thunder mutes all other sounds, its inner storm seems to subside. The thunder rolls to the horizon, and the rain lifts to gentle patters, the mangled, tattered tree has softened, what once ravaged no longer matters. Peace within and peace without, forgiveness given, boundless grace. Its world is light and free again, though it knows there's more it has to face. For now, a lightness' been endowed, it dances with joy and loves out loud. It knows the storms will always come, but through them all, who it'll become is worth the ravaged, aching pain, and comes out stronger, wiser, and changed.

Mothers. Possibly one of the significant contributors of the phrase โ€œEmpowered Women, Empower Women.โ€ They overcome adversities, challenge social norms and break down barriers โ€“ rising and raising their child with them. They plant flowers in the garden of their children, so they can bloom. They pour love out like a waterfall and nurture those who drink from it. They enflame hearts with compassion. They orchestrate and create harmony amongst their children creating a beautiful symphony. They pave roads and liberate. They voice out and amplify the ones of their own. Here is to their depths of love that supports and caresses. To their cheers that uplifts. To how they raise and confront the world. To their softness. To their boldness. To their resilience. To their sacrifices. To them bringing out the best in us. Here is to their ability to create an insurmountable power that only grows. Here is to them to being driven and passionate in their own authentic way. To them carrying out their integrity. To them setting examples, aspiring us to emulate. To the ones who give birth, adopt, educate and raise. To the ones who devote their lives to their families care, to the ones who balance. Here is to them creating ripples carried over generation. To them shaping us and thereby shaping the world after them.

Prose: Mothers
I know what I am to become. Revel in the gazes casting me insane Only I have seen the future from the pavement, hidden like a painting stolen from its frame This is my autobiography! A fluttering, open book caught up in the wind Telling my story faster than it can be written. A thriller all the way until the end

โ€˜Cause you think youโ€™re so big and so tall And us so scared and so small But weโ€™re not Weโ€™re done hiding We are rising Does our truth hurt? Hurt like those words And your hands Their stares and demands That we did this to ourselves It couldnโ€™t possibly be their Boss Friend Brother or lover As long as they were admired and covered By the strength of cowards You showed us that thereโ€™s power in numbers While then Iโ€™d be scared because while you all slumbered In your thrones of entitlement and institutionalized security Weโ€™ve been building bridges out of each otherโ€™s despair Climbing mountains of self-worth While you were so unaware Of us pulling our sisters and brothers up too Our voices now loud enough to shake your foundation And cause you to fall, because without hesitation We were forced to thread shame into the ends of our hair And carry it with us But not anymore This conversation is so long overdue But our time has come, we know this is true As there are skeletons willing to rise from their graves If it means justice finally coming our way And shining light on all those who thought they could Take what was not theirโ€™s But now we are here and our numbers are strong And we will build our own empire out of what was done wrong Our first ruling order, is not a request You WILL understand No doesnโ€™t really mean yes It doesnโ€™t matter the length of my dress That your position doesnโ€™t make my autonomy mean less- My body is not some quest for you to conquer We are tired of shrinking ourselves just for you to be comfortable Times up Your rule is over, this is our kingdom now And so we ask Does our truth hurt? -Me too

Dear, ย ย  Everyone Who ever mocked me Who ever looked down Who ever made fun of me Who ever made me cry The tears I shed Were not in your name They were from my own blame You never owned anything I know you see it How strong I really am I'm quiet and afraid But really you're amazed I've battled wars you'll never know Blood and guts unimaginable You only see the wounds Yet you're still afraid Call me weak Call me pathetic Call me what you may It won't stay I am so brave Knock me down I'll fall so very far But I'll get up so very tall You're weak You're stupid You're pathetic Above all, you're afraid Don't pin that on me I didn't ruin your destiny You can't taint my soul I'll still be nice but I won't Be nobody's fool Dear, everyone You will never break me So **** off *** I'll live beautifully

I am the impossible woman I am unstoppable I am undeterred I have survived all your ridicule I have pushed past all of the pain And I stand here before you now So when I talk listen to what I say I'm the the promise of future Yet I carry the memories of the past I am only the beginning My sisters and I shall inherit the land Impossible you may say But they have told us that always We have yet to find an impossible challenge we can't conquer Listen when I say I am the impossible woman

I'm Wasting Away, I'm Less Than I Was, Wanted To Stay, What Was The Cause? Won't Let Me Play, I'm Left On All Fours, The Screens Going Grey, He Left Me On Pause. What Is This Game, Who Are You Gaming? Giving Me Blame How My Body Is Shaming, Fall In A Slumber Like I Am A Shaman, You'll Talk About *** But My *** Doesn't Shame Me. Empowered I Flowered When I Lost Virginity, I Was Made Iron I Lost My Fragility, I Am Like Fire I'll Burn Through Infinity, Mind Is Made Fluid It Moves With Agility. Don't Pick At My Petals Or Pull At The Stalk, I Know A Demon & He Has A Fork, I Seen A Body Outlined In White Chalk, Passed A Thin Line How Far Did You Walk?

My ***
When you left I could see That what I kept Was not to keep A broken bond was what you made I was so fond and yet I paid For all the nights you said you would It was not right โ€œCanโ€ is not โ€œshouldโ€ So yes you left And I was afraid But a bond of theft Isnโ€™t one where I gain I will not devote Myself to his cause So I said โ€œend-quoteโ€ This isnโ€™t a pause My life does not stop Because heโ€™s not here I will not drop And I have no fear So I move on Myself in check He is now gone No more Russian roulette
