#amazement
A belly full of tasteful food, With a tankard filled with good drink, As well as the smell of sweet tobacco Is calming to the mind of any man; A fire with a kind flame, A book filled with adventure, As friends tell cheerful tales Can fill his life with enjoyment; The cool wind upon his back, The fresh air entering the lungs, As the rain falls from up high Offers a relaxed feeling for most; The sound of calm streams As well as the mighty rivers, And the sight of the forests Is enough to bring a man's soul peace; The green leaves that are on the trees That grow to tremendous heights, With roots deep within the skin of earth Brings much amazement and wonder; When the sun has fully sunk A sky full of stars is revealed With a moon that shines bright Brings tears to the eyes; Home is where the heart is And mine is within the mountains, For having experienced their beauty I pity any man who's never seen them.

There is an elegance in contemplating the moon as your surroundings turn pitch black. A nostalgic glare of two empty beings 340 400 kilometers away. How Icarus laughed in amazement even when the end was coming. That is life. A Constant Freefall

Icarus' Fall
The gleam in their eyes -don’t miss it! It’s gone before you know it- when they realize that the whole time they were staring right at the solution and the joy that comes from knowing the answer makes me want to refute them, so I can amaze them again.

Desert Floor
Like dust, You settled on me. But I'm afraid the desires of water will wash you away; yet it amuses me how the thirst of love leads me back to you again.

My mind can not express my amazement of your beauty, the way you break me down to my simplest parts and make me new with feelings of love. The small magical minutes in between memories I once only thought old books and dreams were made of

Lucky
What happens when the weather around you doesn’t feel the same around the time it should What happens when you don’t do things in the best times you thought you could So much procrastination I could write a book about a book with out missing a single hook What happens when the economy doesn’t fulfill how it should and they lied to us about everything we could He won’t let that happen cause in my bible god is stronger than he should

Strange Weather
The sparkles of life Trickle with trepidation. Ripples ricoshade from one to side to another; As life seems to stop. Smoothly dancing along the top, Gliding like a kite across the surface. Winding, wildly along the curves; taunting Zeus of his power. The birds call out far and wide They communicate with the sea. They understand him And they understand what he needs.

Poseidon
Maybe it was a dream, maybe not, I can't remember now Walking homeward across town Suddenly there came this fog in from the sea It covered the harbour and the streets, enveloping everything so it seemed A fog so thick...so dense, I'd never seen its like before All you could see was the slow drip of car headlights As they'd emerge from out of the street next to me Eventually I had to stop, I couldn't go on, couldn't see anymore It was like everything had just faded away until all that was left, all that was left there... was me But then - suddenly! Looking up. There! Right above me The huge spire of a Church, towering up, Like it was coming out of the clouds I was amazed... awestruck "Surely this was it" I thought, "surely I'd found it (That which had been lost... lost for so long) The Church at the End of the World looking down on all Eternity", Even now after all those years I still had a memory of you You were there... right at the beginning, right at the start, you were there Those nights when I slept as a little child You used come to me, come to me in the quiet, in the still of the night I used enter and roam your hallowed halls...look out on your golden city...with eyes wide with wonder It all started to come back to me I grew excited, so excited Because I knew! I remembered! I recognised you still! You were there, all there just like you had been all those years ago And you were the same, the exact same, you hadn't changed in any way I saw the old familiar road down to you open up before me And then the Bridge across appear And then entering through your Gates My heart it leapt inside me and my eyes they were filled with tears I'd found it...found you again The Church at the End of the World.

She lies there staring up at me And I wonder whether my eyes Know how lucky they are to see An actual blessing from God. She lies there staring up at me And I wonder whether my heart Knows that it’s heartbeat is precious Dependent on this love I feel. She lies there staring up at me And I wonder whether her smile Knows how much energy it gives And yet I cannot look away. She lies there staring up at me And I wonder if her body Knows the need my body feels To be one with hers, head to toe. She lies there staring up at me And I wonder whether her soul Knows how much I’m in love with her Just lying there, staring at me.

She Lies There Staring Up At Me
People are a mystery. They each have a history -- A story leading to now. I can't help but question how So many precious folks, So many ladies and blokes, Came into existence. Unique, yet forming consistence!

One Minute Mind
You can't have what you can't not want when you are can't not have wanting - Because you are too busy can't not having it By your can't not wanting it. While you're doing what you want Saying you can't not have what you're wanting. Getting what you're wanting is Not having what you doing to not Can't not have wanting. If it really is that what you really do are wanting at all.

What You Can't Have
You shake me, because of you. You hold me, not with arms available, but in captivation. You fear me, perhaps not because of me, but because of who I am becoming. I respect you, not only because of him, but because of a gentleman's decorum. This is... Nerve wracking. This is not yet... And yet more so for me. And I thank you for that. But what is this for you? Nothing perhaps. (:

The Effect She Has
A never ending wave of chaos A fit of giggles and laughs Tempers lost and toys thrown An endless playlist of Karaoke These are my memories of us. Memories that I'll hold dear, Or memories I'll hold for leverage A story of a lifetime Full of embarrassment Pride And Love My life My love My competition My protection My pride and inspiration My family

My Family
The serenity of the moment surpasses all, standing near the sight and the wonder of two, white tailed deer Not afraid or aloof they returned my glare, my stare just off of my balcony wondering why, I'm there The stand-off, of amazement a simple sound they glean something I couldn't hear sauntering, from the scene A glimpse, a peak of fascination, so supreme nothing left to ponder intruding, nature's dream

First story, from my back porch
zooming, zipping, speeding by the air rushing by me as the spokes spin freely, gravity pulling me down I outstretch my arms, and the wind lifts me high above the restraints of this world until the hill ends and I clasp back onto those worn handles once more bracing for the cracks in the walkway 'always be back when the street lights come on' little creatures, sitting peacefully under an evergreen, only a little way into the old woman's lawn a teal bike thrown quietly to the side and crouch and creep slowly into the late afternoon sheltered by luscious green ceilings above me, and the slight purr of a fur ball in front. 'always be back when the street lights come on' the sun is setting quickly but the bats always come out around now an abandoned school with overgrown grass serves a grand hotel for my nocturnal friends here they come a large rain cloud of echo chirps and the flitter of paper thin wings catching air 'always be back when the street lights come on' the bridge water rushing quickly by, it must have somewhere to be the glowing moon settling above content prancing thoughts of dancing on those ripples and tickling the streaming moonbeams cross and a little heartbeat quivers trembles shakes "always be home when the street lights come on"

STREET LAMPS
Hey moon, What is it like? What is it like to shine? What is it like to be above all everything else? What is it like to be you? Shinning above the world so high, Looking at everything down below. Pulling ocean, Causing tides. Making everyone look above, Just too look at your beauty. Moon, So magnificent, So bright! You brought light to a world so dim. Consumed in darkness, You set hope. Your many forms amuses me. Every night you became less, Yet your beauty completes me. You, with the sun almighty. Never ceases to amaze me. But I like you most. Though you're small, Though you're puny, You never let the sun consume me. Your fullness lets the Man live at you, Lets the Man stay alive. When you show your sadness, When you became dark, When your color so pure, turns to blood. It makes makes everything a little brighter, It takes my happiness a whole lot farther. Hey moon, Please forget to fall down. Hey moon, Don't you go down.

Northern Downpour
I find pleasure in the smallest of things in the glass like wings that a cicada brings and from the small brown bird in springtime when she sings I am amazed at the little things like the slate blue sails of a boat in flight and a moth who flies into the bright light I fall in love on a daily basis with feathers I find in the oddest of places and the ocean spray that splashes the faces of giggling people in boats at the races
