Does a bear go back to its favorite cave? Or does it go to the one more suited for its needs? Some say the bear is wise. With senses sharper than obsidian spear tips and an intelligence to rival our own. Because of this, it must go to where the rivers are more fruitful. Where boundless waves catch glistening salmon, and berries hug every bush. Where the foraging is plentiful and the prey lies feeble. But sometimes, it chooses to remain. To stay in its favorite cave forever. The bear would rather sacrifice itself and its future for the comfort of familiarity. Here, the bear feels safe. It knows it's safe. This bear listens to its heart more than to the bear within. This bear will be the first to die.

History now modern
Knows naught of the past
Trapped we the people
In a visceral grasp

Dare to speak out
Or dare to be subjected?
Dare to find freedom
From the blankets of oppression?

Hark, the truth bears bells
Of sirens and terror
The midnight yells
Behold, a subject born to listen
Casted in iron and nails
How shiny do they glisten

— The End —
