Crescent Moon
susi woodmass Feb 2011
Beautiful crescent moon,
I should be standing here beneath you
Subdued and romantic under your arc of light
Instead I am wondering why it is
You remind me of my husbands toe nail clipping
Left on the bathroom floor.

Dandelion
susi woodmass Feb 2011
Did you see the dandelion seed,
carry on the breeze?
a loving thought from me
Did you hear, I sang out your name
through the wind in the trees?
a loving song from me

Did you feel the rain, drop upon your skin
and the scent of summer leaves?
A loving kiss from me.
Did you sense the light around your head
a loving hug from me.

You will know my name in the silence among the stars
In the beating of the heart.............
Because I am light I could not ration this glory.
and the blissful sense of peace?
a loving hug from me.
This is originally a song of mine but I though the words befitting of a poem.

Sing you home (lyrics)
susi woodmass Feb 2011
When you closed your eyes my heart closed like a flower
Light had faded from my world
As I wondered at love and its hurt and its power
When I heard the wings of the angels unfurl

I'll sing you home
I'll sing you home
Again

When the rocket went up to the sky in February
The light returned to my world
I remembered each treasure that you ever gave to me
And the petals of my heart unfurled

I'll sing you home
I'll sing you home
Again

For every joy.
For every treasure.
For every laugh.
For every adventure.
Would you do it all again?
Because, you know, I would sing you home. Again.
For my dear dear freind Jim, my mentor, wise freind of the light. I miss you. (Does heaven get broadband?)

Broken Feather (lyrics)
susi woodmass Feb 2011
You're like a broken feather
Caught in a whirlwind
Spinning with the debris
And you cannot see
How you should be where you want to be

Where does this end?
              where the love starts

If you could see what I feel
Feel what I see
You wouldn't be afraid
You would not be questioning
Absolutely everything

Where does this end?
              where the love starts

Reflections (lyric)
susi woodmass Feb 2011
I feel sad when I see a candle that has never worn a flame
Dusty and cold, its sits there as I gaze through the ***** window frame
Sitting on a window sill, in a house just down the road
I'm not really sure why it should affect me so

What a curious reflection

My baby and I travelled on the bus, just the other day
Looking for a gentle adventure, a happy little get away
My baby started crying and I tried so hard to calm her sweet self down
When the woman sitting nearby us, threw us an angry and bitter frown

What an ugly reflection

I tried so hard to see her  in a loving and light filled space
Though I'm sorely tired with some people, that fail to run fair in this human race
But she's just a candle that has never ever ever worn her flame
Dusty and cold she sits there gazing through the ***** window pane

Pain, Pain, Pain

What a sad reflection
probably works better in the song than on paper really....

Bejewelled (LYRICS)
susi woodmass Feb 2011
Someone once told you, you would never fly
In spite of it all, you continued to try
That is why now, you can soar like a bird
The cross that you bear is a beautiful one
Dazzling bright in the light of the sun
You are bejewelled by the truth, that is yours,
It will not let you down

Remember this. love

Your back is stronger than you think it is
Its just that someone had burst your bubble of bliss
But if I know you, you'll blow another fresh and new
Then you'll cry til the Rainbows fall from your eyes
Then you'll sing to the Earth and you'll sing to the Sky
You're bejewelled by the truth, that is yours
It will not let you down

Remember this. love
For my wise freind who would be mortally embarrased if I named her here.

A Letter to the dark
susi woodmass Feb 2011
Darkness. You do not fear me
Regardless of the time that I denied you
I never saw you until I awoke from a slumber sweet and deep

You jolted me at first
With barbed tendrils lashing out to hurt me
And I did cower wishing it all untrue again

But now I stand, I'll face you down
Before I let you try to defeat me
I am not ashamed
I am not afraid
This pain is healing me from the wound you once gave me
Soon it will be gone, as will you

Darkness. I thank you
For this opportunity to shed a light on my history
For without you - how could there be light?
What you are - I am not
My heart bursts with joy at that simple Truth

Darkness. You tried to creep in on me
Steal me from the joy that is rightfully mine
But I saw you coming
And though I did run, I grew tired and weary
Now I turn to face you down

Darkness. It is true your form is twisted
Ugly to it's core
But that is your nature to be so
I will not be consumed by your sorrows no more
For I am Light
Always was
Always will be
For what you are
I am not
And this is what sets me free

I AM LIGHT - NO SHADOW CAN CAST ITS DARKNESS UPON ME!
