You are A Girl , Don’t you know!
This line is every girl’s foe.
Every girl is told,
Not to go out late at night,
Otherwise you’ll meet dreadful sights.
Work at home, help your mother,
You need not to study any further.
Always move out with face covered,
Never try to attract others.
Walk with your eyes low,
You are a girl, Don’t you know.
Is abused in the daylight,
Can shout but have no right.
But now it’s enough,
A time which has really been tough.
Now I’ll not bow or keep my eyes low
But instead raise my voice and brightly glow.
I’ll stand against all my fears
Without shedding any tear.
So that I can be proud from head to toe,
and say that “I am a girl, Don’t you know!
