Summer Ramsey Mar 2014
Locked away in the shadows for years.
Slowly examining with it’s piercing eyes,
Warily selecting it’s prey,
One after another,
It sets it’s trap,
Laughs with a demonic roar,
And at the exact day,
The exact minute,
The very exact second it was planned for,
It leaps towards it’s prey,
Hiding behind sugary-coated blue eyes,
And tucking away the fire that lies within.

Speaking ever so lightly,
Luring in it’s prey,
Prancing around,
biting it’s tongue to avoid chuckling about the entire project,
Careful not to give it all away.
Getting closer,
and closer,
and closer,
it works.
It's prey is in a haze,
as if everything is just some illusion,
and the poor victim feels like it's in its nirvana now.

The leviathan keeps its little conspiracy going,
slowly intertwining it's with it's preys,
and the wretch becomes more and more helplessly
lost.
Lost in the beautiful eyes of the ugly beast,
Lost in the sweet, soft touch of the brute.

Becoming absorbed into the mutant,
more and more as the minutes fly past,
the monster keeps pulling on it's strings,
tighter,
and tighter.

They prey's hand has become sore,
and it wants to shake the hand off,
but the victim can't bare to let it go.
It's hand has become numb,
but still,
just couldn't be shaken away.

It can see the evilness behind the smile,
and all of the lies behind the forged love.
Since mocked love is what is exposed the most,
and not knowing of what true love is,
the prey becomes slowly convinced
that was the closest to what it could ever be to
Love,
Emotion,
and Affection.
But still,
even believing this is the closest thing to love
that it could ever be exposed to,
it was left with
Hatred,
Misery
and Neglect.
Convinced that this is the best "love" there is,
It was just barely an inch from real love,
and someone willing to give everything away to it,
and all it had to do was just pick the lock of the cage
that was created by its new owner.
