Seven thousand seven hundred and thirty three miles isn't enough to keep me from feeling your love
I know you're far but I see you every night, in my dreams
I still feel your fingers tracing every inch of my face, my neck, my lips
I miss your love but you're here
This ring this heavy ring
It is my promise to be yours forever
So until we meet
I wait for the day
When my hand will be entwined with yours
when my lips will once again meet yours
when our bodies will come again
Till then I wait for you my love.

Can't
Sumbul Nadeem Feb 2013
I want to hold that chiseled face in my hands
trail that rugged jaw with sweet kisses
make you feel my love
I want to let you touch me
touch my never ending curves
make me feel your need
I want to hold you hand
let you know that I won't be the one
to break that heart of yours
I want to let you in
let you rip my soul apart
but I can't not tonight

*Kind of a rough draft

Prince Charming
Sumbul Nadeem Feb 2013
I see them they hold each other tight
I long for their love but I know
I know you’ll be here soon
I know you’re waiting for me like I’m waiting for you
But wont you hurry
My patience is thinning
I miss you already
I want your touch
I need your strong arms to hold me
You are the only one who can make me feel again
You fulfill my every desire
My heart aches and calls for you
It’s delirious because we haven’t met

Did You Ever
Sumbul Nadeem Feb 2013
Did you ever love me?
Did you ever care?
Did you ever even
Want to ever share
Did you ever wonder?
How I ever felt
Did you really think?
You’d come back and I’d melt
Into your arms I’d run
And never let go
I know you know better
I’m really not that slow
Stupid and helpless you
Always made me feel
Did you ever love me
Did you ever care…?

The Thief
Sumbul Nadeem Feb 2013
Sneaky, Sneaky, Sneaky, Tip toe, Tip toe
Slithering up the street, but not too slow
Trying desperately not to be seen
Because if he is he’ll have to be mean
His adrenaline rises he feels need
The need to steal the need to take and feed
Suddenly he gets nervous and so cold
But his family needs food so he is bold
He runs into the store gun in his hand
The store owner looks, he doesn’t understand
The little boy grabs as much as he can
When he ran in he only had one plan
To run and not be seen, to not get caught
Stealing was all he knew, all he was taught
Education was something he couldn’t get
Mom didn’t care she needed her cigarette
But it is ok he still has some hope
His brothers make him laugh, help him cope
So when people see him they see a thief
When his siblings see him they see relief

Fear
Sumbul Nadeem Feb 2013
I am caged in his dark disgusting grasp
He strokes my heart as I try to escape
I want to leave his suffocating clasp
But I’m stuck like sticky pieces of tape

He forces his way into my open mind
Clouds my judgment, makes me inferior
He is constantly pushing me behind
Enough’s enough tonight I’m superior

I want to be independent and free
Rid myself of this horrendous devil
Not care what he says or does and just be
No more playing fair, I won’t be civil

Now I see the light, dim as it may be
It shines in my heart and shall set me free
