Worth
Steven DeWitt Sep 2013
They sit and stare blankly, truley unaware
May they not be judged
Our worth as a whole, a question that loves to hide
Mother Nature, oh how I wish you could stop us,
Yet you con not
The things we do to defy you go unpunished

As the last man standing, finally falls
His knees hit, sending dust into the wind
With his last breath, he whimpers, asking why?

Our worth, supposedly found at the top of the found chain,
with an unstoppable hunger for more
We have come to the end
Now what are worth?
