Poison
Stephanie Galica May 2015
A deadly smoke rises.
Let it bench in my lungs.
Let it procreate and expand.
Let it fill you with filthy air.

That air is a poison,
that you search for.
It slowly kills you,
but you don’t know it.

It rots you on the inside,
and turns your smile into a dark yellow one.
Only good words you used to spit out,
but now you spit bad breath.

Breath in,
Breath out.
Now you are staring at your grave.
It killed you, I told you.

Think about the times,
your mom and dad warned you.
Now you are 6 feet below
your foolishness and neglects.

How many times do you need to puff,
to make people think you were “Buff”?

Define Name
Stephanie Galica May 2015
All Names are given at birth.
Is it destiny though, or is it the earth?
Calling out to each and everyone of us?
Just to discuss?
Discuss who we are?
And who is that to tell us?

We find ourselves not in the names we are given,
but for the heart we carry.
Our names do not define us.
We define the name.

No matter the length or the history,
its Your name. None other.
There might be many or even a few,
But only one is you.

What is your name?
It might be Esperanza.
Meaning Hope.
But don’t you give it another meaning?
Caring, loving?
Or Hateful and a coward?

Names are letters. but they are not the whole story.
They represent just one part of your glory

If someone were to ask you,
“Who are you?”
Do you just tell them your name?
Or do you go even deeper?

Do you think that its fair for our parents to choose our name?
Or should we choose our own destiny?

Chronic Waves
Stephanie Galica Jan 2017
Never thought,
always think about
the past,         present,
and         future.

But we never think
in     a     chronic
sequence. We only think
as the brain
       responds.

We think about the
past in the     future
and the   future in the
past         and the present

just milliseconds
before the water reaches
the sea shore.

sunset
Stephanie Galica Jan 2017
i hate the fact that
every morning
the sky reflects
the pollution
in the air and
we think it’s
beautiful
every
single
day.
