Entertaining an angel unawares is not an everyday thing;
Playing a guitar in solemn solitude.

Being loved is beautiful
But please, set that caged bird free
When held, I don't want to be smothered.

True freedom is too rare
A PC for company can be so demanding
You are making tea; the child wants some chicken
I want some of your love
Is that so hard to understand!

Pictures on the wall, fresh fruit
The metre's (quickly) running away
Find it to forgive yourself; find it to forgive others
Guess you gotta hide within your own mind.

A sibling bored chez lui
A stand cradles somebody's scribblings
Stars are sometimes too far to reach.

What..where...who...how...where?

Where is this promised windfall?

Written 1993.

Was hesitant to post, 'cos content so seemingly disconnected....but, let me not fear..for, ironic context sits smack bang within the title!

Also, this one's structure flies in the face of all rhythm and rhyme.
Thwack!
If ye like not it...hey, man...sure ain't gonna cry buckets over it, ok.
Life's short enough, as it is ......lol

Sometimes, we gotta be content...seeketh not too muchlyeth....lol

yeah, man

Opened a book today
My eyes fell upon a page of poems
How odd, it feels so familiar to me
Yet, how can this be?

Picked up an organic instrument
And played a song I do not know
Whence cometh the inspiration?
Only from the whispers of ..... a previous life....

These things I see doing, I claim not expeditious
For it's only if and when....the muses decide to see fit
A mere vessel to transport what already is there!
Every possible thought-combo has its keen template.

Never did an equestrian thing before
Yet I find me mounting superb horse and ride
Flowing action, wide awake and so thrilling
No expletive required to tell of happy lingering.

Going upon the mountain to pray, this day
Not to find you
But that you ....find me
Don't you just give up so fast!

Can't deny strong polarising effect in here
This life affords us another chance: second time around.

Hey, man...hello.

Our pods are our ships from Mercury.

As you grind us and eat
Yes, grind on....

We colonise your body.

Hooooooooooooo

Ok, that out the way, three times.

Is it a pause...or the end?

Comma, how uncouth you are.....you can't just come and ****** well take over the full-stop's task.

1.
I never saw you on the day you were born
I wasn't there.
I never met you in your youth
I wasn't there.

I probably won't see you on your last day
I know not how the current will carry tidings.

2.
Yet, I never saw such life in anyone's eyes
As I see in you.
I never felt such intense flow in a pure heart
As I do in you.

There is no way to fully express
How happy I am with the milk of your kindness.
All I want, is to ride that carriage with you
And drink of love's potion, keep you sated.

3.
Come, take my hand and let me hold you
Don't you crowd us out so; allow to breathe
Our universe expands as enchanting melodies, we share
Shut-tight eyes leave a crazy stab of an afterimage.

Upon the tracks, lies the truth in broken pieces
Time to gather my singularly talentless wits
Recuperate from rhythmic clacking of euphoria
A drab shoelace in flat, brown mud, is how you see me.

There's a part of my journey that includes you
An integral part of my existence seeks that spark
I have seen you, without yet seeing you!
How can I know that failure dogs not this adventure...

Can you really not see how extraordinary this is?
It may count as fiasco if absent pursuit of mysterious core...

4.
Without you, I'd be on an express train to nowhere.
At least, you're still there

(alive :)

There is little hope, it seems....of reaching that vibrant one.

Yet, know this: I am quite resilient and positively determined :)

Fit to fiddle fun on fiacre, led by fine filly.

Once, they rode strong on the plains
Before conquistadors bent their will.

Strained their backs, cracked their whips
Made them wear strange hides and speak strange tongues.

Refrain:
But when the time is right
To turn the tide
But not without great loss
To turn the tide!

Part II:
Come again, oh strong one
Strengthen your will, stand tall
Remember the Lost Ones and the glory!

Restore freedom in your heart
Replenish well your table, love the earth
Ride free again and tell your story!

Pick up your arrow, shoot it straight (x2)

Forced to swallow all the shame
And leave dying ashes and broken pearls

So once, they rode strong on the plains
But now, there's dying ashes and broken pearls

Broken pearls
Broken pearls.....
Just a few words on mental decolonising.....maybe.

Modern take on the Pocahontas tale.

sweet

Drive into the countryside
Buy granny-green apples along the roadside
Wave to jolly farm workers in verdant fields
Smile and look up...greet the beautiful sky.

ceiling of the heavens

Share some (yellow) Lays in the car
Pass the packet around, mmm..crunch crunch
Feel the wind and see it, like sails...whip your hair
Inhale sweet air, while cool music taps into ear.

tranquil reaches

Cannot hear the indiscriminate noises
Cannot see the dust and dirt
Will not touch the pulse of pain
Can see only....pure sunshine.

pure sunshine*
