heathen Feb 2015
soft air around lips precedent what
happens next
tucking in
collar to neck to jaw to chin to cheek
denseness is there, senses are not
encompassing pout, tearing it right off
no need for these anymore
A poem I wrote when I was 19 about intimacy and trust when I was going through a big Walt Whitman/E.E. Cummings phase
heathen Oct 2014
There's something about
when I go to hold your cheek
and you lean into my hand

I feel the weight of your day
the burdens of your responsibilities
the trust you have in me
your exhaustion
your affection
your heat

Let me hold those for you
just for a little while
