It's like getting on a roller coaster
Slowly going up the long steep incline

Then just before the roller coaster drops
A gigantic soccer cleat appears out of thin air
And kicks you off the ride

Compromise with you

Those should be
The reasons why you stay
Not whether or not their face
Should be plastered on the cover of a magazine

The sun no longer shines
Maybe it does, but it does not shine in my world
My world is filled with dark days and darker nights
The moon still goes to work at night
It has not left me yet
