Unspoken feelings
Simran malik Nov 2017
She was lying next to me
On the wet grass.
We were staring straight into the starry night sky.
My eyes fell straight on her illustrious eyes,
Searching for purpose and wondering why she cries.
Our time was short, we knew it too well.
But before I could think, in love I fell.
The stars seemed to shine brighter than light,
Our hearts were on fire
And emotions came in sight.
But I swallowed them inside.
Words escaped my mind
Remembering, in the break of dawn, we were to part ways.
I thought of hopeless dreams and worthless days,
All my thoughts were in vain.
Words came out like falling rain.
Trying to hide the anxious pain,
Our eyes met, but we refrained.
We dared for unconditional love,
An euphoric feeling ruled .
All we needed was a little shove for our hearts and eyes to be fooled.
But reality flowed in,
And we got chained to a wall of unspoken feelings and heartbroken songs.

I want to, but i Can't
Simran malik Oct 2017
I want to die,
I want to run away from the troubles the world bestows upon me.
I'm sick and tired of **** not killing me and only making me stronger.

I want to break free and start fresh.
But the chains of this cruel world are holding me back,
Tearing me from within,
My cries of anguish are heard no more.

I want to smile,
I have no treason to do so.
For the curved line you see on my face is marred wirh remorse,
I want to peel it off.

But these are my thoughts
that shine a light when it's dark.
It means something to me
like what a song means to a lark.
It helps me breathe.
It gives me purpose to live.
It makes me feel wanted;
something humanity doesn't give.

Cage of Cruelty
Simran malik Jan 2017
As she walked down the lane of agony,
She wore that beautiful smile,
That convinced the world that's she's happy;
But deep within there's an unbearable pain
that's tearing her heart apart.
The pain  inside her is suffocating her like
she's
been enclosed in a room full of carbon monoxide.
She looked at every map and thought of every
route, that would free her,
But she was trapped by the heartless cages of
cruel words that people spat out of their
mouths.
She smiles to the world but cries to herself,
She's a soul filled with grief
But she wants to fly and breakthrough the cruel
walls of the world.
Her cries were mistaken for a smile,
Her shouts of torture curbed.
She waited for someone to call out to her
But, it was only fantasy.
Her convincing smiles slowly faded away, like
the mist of breath on a mirror.
Even though she tried,
She could not breakfree
And the worms of cruelty,
Ate into her brain.
