We live in a world of passive aggression
Where everyone speaks their mind
But not to your face.
Where pointed conversations
Snide comments made
About you populate personal interactions.
Everyone has an opinion
And your opinion is always wrong
They will shout theirs
VIA CAPS LOCK
On their soapbox.

God forbid
unique thoughts
Or straying from the path
That middle aged white men deem
appropriate

How dare you breast feed your child
A ****** OBJECT FOR MAN’S GRATIFICATION -
It cannot possibly be used another way.

A world where you would rather see
Crying
Starving
Distraught
Than an exposed breast.

Yes we live in a world like this.
Where neighbours ****
Rather than walk a mile in their shoes.
Where fathers say
“I have no son”
Because their son is gay.
A mother who cries softly
In a public toilet
Feeding a child
Rather than offend
People she does not even know.
We live in a world
Where millions are raised in a day
For a church (?)
While they turn their backs
On babies dying in streets

We live in a world of passive aggression
Of lethargy
Of gluttony.
Of “well what were you wearing?”

We live in a world
That is desperate for change.
