once i saw a girl
she thought she knew the world
A boy came along and took her hand
took her to another land
the world she knew was fading away
it seemed to crumble each day
the boy didnt let her go out
it got to the point that she wanted to shout
the boy took a hold of that world
the ground underneath her swirled
she had enough she wanted the world she knew back
she told the boy he hit her down with a smack
he owned her he had said
the world you never knew as she bled
what was she thinking
she felt like she was shrinking
she finally ran away
for she could no longer stand to stay
the boy never found her
that she would prefer
she went back to the world she knew
without the boy that was tearing her in two
