Happier Days.
Shae Paulausky Aug 2014
She spreads her wings, she flies away.
She soars to find happier days.
She dips and glides, she rides the waves.
She's been above every mountain, within every cave.
She's touched the stars, she's reached the moon.
She left.
It was sudden, too soon.
Her eyes wide open, her heart tucked away.
She left everything, she was gone in a day.
She's searching for freedom, she's searching for hope.
Where she will find it, she doesn't yet know.
She just spread her wings, she just flew away.
She left them all there, hoping she finds better days.

Unspoken.
Shae Paulausky Feb 2014
Sitting at my desk, staring down at words.
Knowing that they mean nothing if they are never heard.
Wondering and thinking, what they might mean to you.
If you had of heard them, which you will never do.
Dotting I's with hearts, and making perfect lines.
The scripture is so beautiful, though i don't know why.
For you will never see this, so you will never know.
Because as soon as i have finished, in the garbage it will go.

One day i'll be brave.
One day i'll be wise.
One day i'll be able to look you in the eye.
Maybe i'll just say it,and use my voice for once.
But until i get that courage, i'll rip this paper up.

Tides are Turning.
Shae Paulausky Jul 2013
Tides are turning, i am learning, not to trust in anyone.
They are lying, no denying, Russian Roulette with a gun.
It's enough that, you regret that, you ever took a chance on me.
And now i'm trying, to stop crying, so that you can be happy.
I wish i could have, wish i would have, tried a little harder.
With every day, you step away, i can see you growing farther.
Days are older, nights are colder, without you in my life.
I just miss you, want to kiss you, regardless of the strife.
Tides are turning, i am learning, not to trust in anyone.
They are lying, no denying, Russian Roulette with a gun.
Lungs are burning, speech is slurring, attempting to forget.
Heart is pounding, feels like drowning, in too deep to quit.
My head is spinning, no one is winning, what is the point in this?
They all saw it, we never caught it, this was the biggest twist.
My heart was beaming, now it's screaming, through every night and day.
Don't try talking, just keep walking, there's nothing left to say.
Tides are turning, i am learning, not to trust in anyone.
They are lying, no denying, Russian Roulette with a gun.
