One of my wishes is that those trees,
so old and firm they scarcely show the breeze.
Where not as 'twere the  merest mark of gloom,
but stretched away, unto the edge of  doom.

I should not be withheld, but that some day,
into their vastness I might steal away.
Fearless of ever finding open land,
or the highway where the slow wheel pours the sand.

I don't know why I should ever turn back
or those not set forth upon my track.
To overtake me, who should miss me here
and long to know if still I held them dear.

They would not find me changed from him they knew-
only more sure of all I thought was true.
Out of all of Frost's elongated and meticulously illustrated poems, this one feels so raw with emotion.  It is by far my favorite in his works, and perhaps my favorite of all poetry yet.
Clocks kept ticking,
The world kept spinning,
Time marched on.
It’s now that I realise how long that you’ve been gone.

I can’t see your beautiful smile
Your melodic laugh, a memory
Every time I believe you’re still around
You’re slipping away from me.

Every time I want to see you,
I have to imagine that you’re there.
Every time I want to hug you,
The cold breeze embraces me instead.

Clocks keep ticking,
The world is always spinning,
Time marches on.
And still you’re gone.
Its no surprise
It happens all the time
You make me want to believe
But all I see is tragedies
Lay your head down now,
And go to sleep
Because everything is better in dreams
Than in reality…
you smile, and a person dies.
you smile, and the sun bows a tiny bit lower in the sky.
you smile, and two people are born.
you smile, and a note trills its way to my ear's tympanum.
you smile, and a moth finds its way to the dimming porch light.
you smile, and the incense stick accessorizes with a shawl of smoke.
you smile, and every vein in my cheeks dilates.
you smile, and there is a marvelous lilt to your voice.
you smile, and my clever anecdote is stuck between your teeth.
you smile, and our eyes dare each other to grin even wider.
you smile, and somewhere dawn breaks like a bull in a china shop.
you smile, and life roars.
I lived a life of storms in a world of bright sunshine,
You ensured that everything I wanted never could be mine.
I thought you always heard me whenever I would cry,
But when you didn’t help me, I could only ask, ‘Why?’

I’m in a constant battle, just to try to get my way,
Never did you give me colours, just a life of grey.
I wanted to see you every time I looked up to the sky
But when I only saw the clouds, I had to wonder, ‘Why?’

You went and tore my Gran away, before my very eyes,
You never even gave me time to say all of my goodbyes.
I can never quite hear your voice, no matter how hard I try
And when I start to miss my Gran, I always ask you, ‘Why?’
A single tear falls
Just one
From someone who could have had it hall
A single tear is shed
Just one drop
From the eye of the woman
Who didn't come out on top
Just one tear from the eye
Of the guy who thinks he's too strong
Too strong to cry
Hide the weakness and dry your eye
He's afraid inside
Strip down the walls and bare your soul
Afraid of the world
You know its oh so cold
A tear that fell
What happened to the rest?
They're just bottled inside
Never laid to rest
Sadness festering
Turning to anger in your chest
Boiling and burning anger
Deep inside yourself
Never leaving you alone
Triggered
The hell begins
And you just bottle it up again
A single tear falls
Let it fall again
Let one turn to two
And two turn to three
You don't want to turn out like me.
