Knowing can be a terrible thing.

Although it can set you free,
it can weigh you down further
Your mind will be set ablaze
after you perceive honesty
It will only create alternative wonders
Such as the why’s,
or the when’s
It may provide a quick sense of comfort
but only one that will escape easily

Not knowing might be worse.

If you never confirm your inquiries,
your mind will never stop
Because you were left with nothing,
you will think of everything
It’s more than the why’s
or the how’s
It grows into the since when’s
and what about now’s
You will never find true comfort in mystery.

With both equations
you must learn to heal
And if you don’t
you must learn to deal.

We all have skeletons in our closet.

Metaphorically speaking,
they are memories we hide away -
our mistakes
troubles

They could be disguised as a book
or a letter
While covered in dust
a simple blow can create a stampede

Most closets have doors
Some have locks
But few have nothing -
no barrier of protection

The people with these are the strongest
Though they try to hide their skeletons,
they are not afraid
to put away that sweater
and save it for another day.
In the last stanza, the metaphor of "save that sweater for another day" has greater meaning. It means that someone is strong enough to ignore their skeletons/secrets at the current time.
