Faceless
Running and Running
with heavy heart, I loathe you.
I am allergic to your presence
But still I’m hooked on the inspiration
of your never ceasing spiral.
Do not dare to misshape me
you faceless beast,
for I am known!

Uncontrollable reality I forbid you.
For you are a bloodcurdling nightmare,
which only seems to be misshapen, and broken.
Hurt and lost in your exhausted flaws,
You realize in the end,
that the beast is you,
faceless.

And truly unknown.

What Father
If I cared, would I have said something to you,
If you cared, would you have left before I was even breathing,
If you cared, would you have gone off and had another family,
If you cared, would you have been there to interrogate my first boyfriend,
If you cared, would you have been my superman,
If you cared, would you have loved me as much as you do the other kids?
If you cared to stay, would you love me at all?
Happy fathers day, I suppose-

Ice shimmers in light-breaking dawn-
Dripping-branches seeping-cracking-thawing-
Sinking snow-slowly-
Newly melted-fog creeping-breathing-leaping-

Passion
With in the words-there is just more words-
Passion-
Not found in words-
It's in the feeling-
The light in the eyes-
The love-the sorrow-
The tone-that is grasped with every risking breath-
There is so many definitions-
With too many words-
With no full meaning-
Passion is our own-
The things that we can never live with out-
Take hold and never let your definition slip-away-

Love maybe
-Love-
This word thrown around-
Tangled-Beaten-Broken down-
Sometime spit out too soon-within the word ***** of a drunk'n night...

-Love-
This could mean a beginning or an end of you-
They say its better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all,
I say, the hell with that-
If anything-it would be better to have never loved-
Than to lose the one I love,
Even if at first they were drunk'n words

Bread
Tender toes.
Numb knees.
Thickened thighs.
Thinned sides.
and pulsing arm.

Pain and triumphant.
aware and complete.
Just a tare and a thread.
Then you are no different than
bread.

Take it to you head.
and then the bed.
No sleepless night.
without the thought
To creep and linger,
within ones head.

Carry on, Carry on.
Said once, by that foolish old man,
who made bread.

Cool ocean breeze,
Salty air washed against my brighten -blushed- cheeks.
Waves crash and crumbled deep in the sand.
Early spring morning -fresh- of the toxic airs of an urban life.
The soft green grass -unforgettable- beautiful.
Long and flowing.
Twisted trees,
Wicked limbs reaching curling -but- beautiful, elegant.
Reds, greens, and blues on the backs of fluff coated
Sheep in the meadows.
Stone trails leading out, off into the distance, out site.
Miraculously tall buildings of stone.
Seeming to touch the highest of clouds.
Looking down upon so many as they pass by.
Scurrying quickly to their next destination.
Not noticing the blessing, the excitement the -beauty-.
No time to stop and lay in moist -soft- green grass,
To gaze upon the work,
That looks to be have done by giants.
Truly -lovely-.
Statues looking over the hills,
Of where so much labor has been taken by the land.
Dirt on hands, sores on feet.
Love in hearts, food in bellies.
Dancing in the far range of what you can see,
The lights as you enter the small towns.
The smells swirl through the long allies.
The sweet and sour fragrance of boiling soups
Filling my seances.
The music as you pass the bouncing pubs,
Packed full of irish men and women dancing.
Complete -happiness-,
With smiles the size of the Ring of Kerry.

Friend Zone
Friends, just friends nothing more-
Close friends...really close friends-
Thats as close as it will ever get
Well-
That until you asked for a hug-
Then we were closer than-close friends-
But not close enough-
Well-
That until you didn't ask, you just did
A kiss-on the cheek-
Just when I thought is was-Love?-

I saw you sitting with her-
Laughing-
You looked at me-and smiled-
Then looked back at her-

-What went wrong?-

Smile
Trying to keep a smile
So they don't know
So they don't ask-why?
So they don't see the real reason

I try my hardest to show the real
Me...
Afraid that it was lost so long ago
The feeling of being hidden,
Being caged behind my flaws-
Is the only thing that seems to keep me secure,
The fear of the real me
Grows stronger every day
And with it the more, I'm hoping,
I can stand until the end

The Little Things
Laying awake - silence,
Nothing but the beat of your heart to the breathing rhythm of the tired house.
You sleep - the night goes slowly,
You dream.
Each time you wake - the house,
That benevolent house - is there to greet you.
Rubbing your eyes you see - the shadows of the rising sun,
That ever so graciously reaches out its long rays - to warm the branches of the lifeless trees.
Walking down the stairs you hear - creeks in the old floorboards.
For they have been worn down from the constant memories,
That have seeped into each little crack.

If only
If only you knew that I lay awake-
-Cry- and long for you to be there-
And hold me-close
If only you knew how much-
I really miss you- even though I already have you-
If only I knew the words to describe-

True
When I wake, I rap my arms around you, and you the same-
The room brightens-a smile-with the raising sun-
The light breeze of a cracked window-letting in the sweet, cool morning air-
You squeeze tighter around me-to make sure I'm warm-
Not a word exchanged-until we both have opened our eyes-
Eye to eye-I love you-and that is-true-

If There Was a Day
If there was a day,
Any other than today-
Would it still be the right day?

If there was any other day,
Would you and I be-
If to be, or not.

Or is there a place,
Or is there a time,
Or rather just a day,
like today and the next-
