archery
Sarah Ann Boussy May 2014
it's as if you shot an arrow
through the glass cupboard
of my heart.
as if my arteries were handles
to the china cups and mugs
that shattered into a violent
destruction, devastation
of your target,
which was me.

extreme obscurity
Sarah Ann Boussy Aug 2013
a burning candle killed,
a funeral by the reflections
of a distinguished metallic gleam
of swords and bayonets.

street-lanterns burned longer,
minute to minute.

death,
a uprising so certain and inevitable,
entrenched every corner of man,
whose ranks were slowly drawing in.

the darkness emerged,
and man appeared to be asleep,
nothing but motionless,
an apparition to remain.

wounded treasure

wounded treasure,
night departure.

her profound satisfaction,
his forgotten adoration.

the lovely,
vanished,
careless,
kisses whispered,
reappeared in gloom.

six months spread before her somber eyes,
a love so broken,
absent from him.

she grasped it,
for her feelings could not surpass the human tongue.

our history.
Sarah Ann Boussy Aug 2013
the night you left me,
is a walk down memory road,
that includes exasperation,
desperation,
humiliation,
and hospitalization.

the night you slept with her,
is a symbolism of
my disadvantage of letting go,
because my heart remained
deprived of you.

the time i slept with you again,
is a display of my ability
to let my emotions take over my pride.

when i agreed to be yours once more,
it's a sign of my vulnerability,
and how easy it is
for me
to relapse,
and fall back into an unhealthy addiction.

and all the times you left me after the first,
is just an exemplification
of my lack of strength.

Lay Me Down
Sarah Ann Boussy Dec 2013
Lay me down,
Among the roses,
And the fresh grass,
And the wet morning dew.
Kiss my neck,
Tell me I'm a beautiful mess,
A natural disaster.
Rip my clothes from my body,
Reveal my chest,
Tear into my skin,
Stab my heart,
And lay it down next to me,
Among the roses,
And the fresh grass,
And the wet morning dew.

You,
Sarah Ann Boussy Aug 2013
Nothing on earth can compare to the sweetness of your lips,
After they have been parted from mine for what seems to be an endless amount of time.
And I can promise you, my love,
You will never need to crave for the taste of mine,
Again.

this must be how it starts.
Sarah Ann Boussy May 2014
this must be how it starts.
the confusion, the fear, the fall.
the gradual warmth engulfing my soul.
the shaking of my hands that only i can notice.
the urge to smoke an entire pack of cigarettes that nearly killed my father.
the doubts and the certainty intertwining together
to form a tsunami of human emotions,
i never knew i could feel.

this must be how it starts.
the excitement, the happiness, the glee.
the smiles and laughter escaping from within.
this must be how it starts,
I forgot how it felt.
brian, i think i love you.
