I thought no words could hurt us
For words are empty sounds
But these were kisses of Judas
That wounded me deep down

If but a sword had cut so deep
I would have bled but half
The life has fully drained from me
All just to have the last laugh

I guess this fault could be my own,
On what grounds should I care?
So why do words still make me groan?
Why now? Why still? Why there?

No paper or revision
Prepares you for this test
These meaningless provisions
They vow you can't forget

No amount of frenzied recension
Or tales of distance run
Can purge you of damnation
For nothing can be done

A pulse of manic anger
This choice shall be your last
Don't think of what they taught you -
You cannot teach the heart

It's not all that bad, and not cruel as such
But I prefer the tooth fairy -
He doesn't ask for much
