Come dance with me, my friend, my lover,
Towards the light; a world uncovered,
Do not look back, do not despair,
One day they all will meet us here.

On roads of gold,
Come dance with me,
In lands of old,
Come dance with me.

What is left for you down there?
Days, to waste away, alone, somewhere,
But I offer you a world all to yourself,
Just you and I, dancing, no one else.

In waves of light,
Come dance with me,
Through shimmering nights,
Come dance with me.

So please, my soul, my life, my love,
Join me, set your sights above,
And dance away eternity,
The dance of immortality.

Upon a frigid winter's eve,
A man prepares to take his leave,
Before the last of dying light,
Before the unforgiving night.
Woe to those he leaves behind,
The life from which he has resigned,
The children who will cry his name,
The mother who will curse the same.
Woe to the man who lost his way,
The man who has been led astray,
The man who gives up all he's known,
To wander blindly the unknown.
Upon a frigid winter's eve,
A man has gone, he took his leave,
Beneath the rays of dying light,
Into an unforgiving night.

A picture of a smiling face,
It disappears without a trace,
Beneath the rot, beneath the rust,
Beneath the layers of settling dust.
A picture of a little girl,
Hides in this corner of the world,
Beneath the dirt, beneath the grime,
Before the crippling hand of time.
A picture of a memory,
Of what was not, of what could be,
Forgotten, lying all alone,
A work of art remains unknown.
A picture of the fleeting past,
Whose hidden beauty will not,
In a cruel and unforgiving world,
The picture of a smiling girl.

The beast awakens on the lazy summers eve,
Stirring first with groans of a broken sleep,
Stretching it's soft and stiff muscles like the young pup,
But regaining suddenly it's full and fearsome strength.

The stillness is broken first by its lonesome howl,
Igniting a gale, a tempest of forewarning,
Stay back! Fear it's hot and sickly breathing,
Please, heed it's resounding and urgent calls!

The beast, swollen with power and hunger, spots it's prey,
Tendrils of mist, tendrils of darkness amass about it's body,
It's first longing, distant calls, now wails of pure desire,
It's hot, it's ragged breathing now a torrent of writhing winds.

With a flash, it bares it's glimmering teeth,
With a crash, it releases a shattering roar,
Blood runs, freely as rivulets of pure water,
Droplets of accursed life absorbed by the waiting earth.

It satiates it's hunger, and so fades it's desperate wrath,
It's ferocious howls soften to satisfied grumbles,
And finally the sweet silence of the summers eve returns,
As the final traces of the beast are swept away into the dying winds.

Tonight he lives in memories,
Of happier times, forever lost,
I cannot say just what he sees,
I only know what it has cost.
Tonight he lives in past regrets,
Of what was not, will never be,
Perhaps things better to forget,
When will they finally set him free?
Tonight he dwells on his mistakes,
On foolish choices he once made,
Oh what, my friend, what will it take,
To realize these debts have been paid?
Tonight, my friend, remember me,
Tonight, allow yourself regret,
Tomorrow, you must let it be,
Tomorrow, friend, you must forget.

I’m stumbling through a black abyss,

Surrounded by this nothingness,

Mirroring the emptiness,

inside my soul.

Along the way I find a lake,

A lake upon the path I take,

And near the lake there lies a sign,

Just before the water’s line.

And this is what the sign does say

,The sign I find upon my way:

“Here lies the gateway to the soul,

So look within if that’s your goal.”

So I kneel within this black abyss,

And gaze upon the lake’s surface,

My reflection meets my eyes,

A face I do not recognize.

And as I look upon this face,

Despising she who took my place,

I feel my anger over flow,

And finally I let it go.

“You ignorant and petty fool!

You errant-minded, useless tool!

Oh look at you, what you’ve become!

Don’t you see how far you’ve fallen from?”

My reflection does not answer me,

Just stares back out so emptily,

A sight that draws forth unshed tears,

And rekindles all my greatest fears.

“What happened to the face I knew?

What happened to the real you?

You are everything you once opposed!

You are a fraud! And everyone knows.”

My reflection simply stares at me,

It does not move, nor answer me,

Nor does it return my shout,

It does nothing, just stares back out.

“You are the reason for the emptiness!

You are the reason for this black abyss!

For everything that’s trapped me here!

You are the face behind my fear!”

Then looking down upon this lake,

This lake upon the path I take,

I realize it is no lake at all,

Only a mirror upon the wall.

My world is full of bright blue skies,
flowers, rabbits, butterflies,
giant mountains, ancient trees,
lands of green and golden seas.

In my world, tears are waterfalls,
and happiness can shatter walls,
anger, the greatest adversity,
while fear defines reality.

In my world, truth is in disguise,
More often, truth transforms to lies,
which i suddenly regard as true,
can red transform if you believe it's blue?

In my world, I see in black and white,
things are either all wrong, or all right,
inbetween is undefined,
and any other veiw is blind.

In my world, words can fragment lives,
and allies wield imaginary knives,
the wounds they cause will never heal,
but pain is vital if you want to feel.

In my world, seasons are hours long,
But still the seasons are just as strong,
From rain to snow, darkness to shine,
Changing with no warning sign.

My world is as beautiful as hideous,
As honest as insidious,
My world is as ambiguous as clear,
and just as gentle as austere.

But my world exists inside my head,
Where your feet will never tread,
And so you can not understand
To you this is my fantasy land.
