One gets tired of finger painting.
Or do they? asked the art teacher to the other teacher.
The children couldn't answer, due to special needs and cognitive delays, but they were an interested bunch.
They looked at the teachers.
After a bit, they looked at the classroom pets: white rats
with fresh, green testicles for Saint Patrick's Day.
They smiled as the beloved rodents ran across paper for them,
white on white with festive green, rat paths up and down, to and fro.
The children showed delight in their eyes!
Later their parents happily put the picture on their fridges,
not knowing the totality of their creation.
Finger painting's not just for St. Patrick's Day!
